That's pretty expert. His arguments about CEO pay are kinda tired, but I've always sided with his position that the collusion agreements of the 80's constituted a much bigger breach to the competitiveness of the game than the Black Sox.

Also, it always tilts me a bit that baseball makes a huge deal about Jackie Robinson day, and saying how wonderful he was and all the barriers he fought against, when by far the biggest barrier he fought against were 16 white *******s who aren't much different from the 30 white *******s who hold their jobs today.

Not that I really expect anyone to say that . . .

You cant really compare Bundy to anyone, pretty much all scouts/evaluators agreed Bundy was an aberration and exceptional talent that he shouldve started in AA or at worst A+ and he proved them right

I still feel that Bundy~Bauer>Cole>Archie Bradley>>>Hultzen. Lol mariners

Starting Bundy in A- is fine. But there is nothing to see anymore, and his arm is super valuable. Pitchers aren't like hitters; move them up where they can contribute.

Bundy and Bauer are similar, but Bauer's control problems aren't helping him any in AA. He needs to iron that out before they move him. I think Cole and Hultzen are equivalent in terms of production. I actually think it's weird everyone hates on him and calls him a #3. The guy has really good stuff and is very athletic (look at his batting line at UVA).

Meh, its not really hate, I think he could/will be a #2, I just think the other guys are all studs

Grear runs so good on picking a time to disappear from the thread.

The Royals are so goddamned stupid. Trade Aviles so Giavotella can play more regularly, then send Giavotella down in ST. Good stuff, idiots.

Also Kila is crushing for the A's.

Not sure if I linked this here before, but all the Orioles talk made me think of it. I thought this article was REALLY good and a sobering look at the franchise. Written before the season, but definitely worth the time imo.

I have to tinyurl it because there is profanity in the URL.

tl; dr

The Orioles should trade Adam Jones away for "pieces for the future" they'll trade away for "pieces of the future" 5 years from now.

edit - apparently 2p2 doesn't like tinyurl, but i used a diff service

This. I can't believe how much his control has improved.

Reds' beat writer is estimating he'll join the rotation late May.

Burroughs doing strong work, making all of the outs for the Twins in the 6th. In related news, MIN-BOS gotta be in the running for longest ****ing 9 inning game at this point.

Incredibly article.

That said, I didn't take away the same thing you did about the "trade Jones" piece. Maybe that's what he meant, but that's now how I interpreted it. I'm not really sure how I took it... I kinda feel like he was just pointing that trade out? Not sure.

I feel like he's just going to loophole something about both teams being two games over .500 and there being no real difference between 9-7 and 10-8, but that's just me.

yes exactly like when i said why did colts sign peyton when he won't play this season and people called me a troll and here i said why did yankees trade for this guy who isn't that good, has horrible mechanics, and no work ethic. then omg now he's out for the season just like i said would happen in early march before he even got injured

http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/stor...houlder-injury

keeping the haters mad. why won't anyone realize i'm the best injury predictor out there?? just like last year i said jorge de la rosa was gonna blow out his arm and need tommy john based on analysis of pitch fx then next day it happened

It's the exact same argument as last time. Cle is at game 16, Detroit is at game 18. If cle loses one of their next two it's still 'intact'

Jesus, I just saw that Twins guy get hit on the helmet, so close to getting smashed in the face. Scary.
