Dbacks going all in and giving up prospects and one of their boat load of OF talent...going all in to try to win a chip while goldy and Greinke are money...what's not to like? Gotta push your chips in the middle sometime and go for it!

Is this trade real? Whats the catch? Seems really lopsided for bravos

All for going all in, but seems like they gave up a bit much. Unless they've soured on Blair or Swanson recently for some reason. The worst part of this trade is now Tomas has to play everyday.

Anyone have the number for the DBacks FO's meth dealer?

That's what happens when it isn't a signing and is a trade instead.

Wow I didn't realize Tomas faded so badly. His 2nd half was horrendous. Is there any hope for that guy, I haven't seen much of him

Except, isn't Inciarte more valuable than Miller by himself?

Supposedly he's expected to show up to spring training about 25 pounds lighter next season. Hopefully that helps.

I don't know a lot about Miller, but Inciarte hit over .300 and is a stud in the OF, so yeah, probably so.

It can't be far apart. Inciarte is older iirc, but has an extra year of control if not two.

Almost. Both are young. Miller was more of a prospect, but that is because Inciarte came from Venezuela young.

Eh really? He's a nice player but hes basically the long side of a platoon, 6-10 home run power, little patience and great outfield defense.

I'd definitely take my chances with Shelby Miller over Inciarte .. that said I'm obv not gonna stick up for Arizona on the trade as a whole given the prospects involved

Hearing that #Marlins had deal working with D-Backs: Jose Fernandez for Corbin, Swanson and 3 others -- until Zona landed Shelby Miller.

Hmmm, seem to be offering Swanson to anybody. Did they see something they didn't like?

Crasnick reporting DBacks are out of the Leake race as a result of the Miller trade.

Nah, I think they just saw a window and ran for it. Never know though.

That's what I meant on the per year deal.

Heyward is only 26 years old. Get him on a 7 year deal and you have him until the end of his prime.
