Vegas was awesome. Best friend's bachelor party, and my friends are all doing better at life than me. It was a real murderer's row of degenerates.

The 12 of us stayed at Palazzo. 2 of our crew had to be wheel-chaired back to the room at 6 a.m. from the craps table by security.

After paying my share of the hotel, a table for a pool party at wet republic, the bone-in ribeye at Delmonico, and a customary trip to the Rhino (obv), our hero somehow managed to bring home $2800 more than I brought.

If the 2/5 at the Venetian is like it was Labor Day weekend every day, I'd never leave the city

So first, a 2/5 hand!

Villain has been drinking and talking drunk, but actually playing pretty solid. He says he usually plays 5/10 "back home in Florida." He's actually played fairly tight, only shown down a set of kings, aces full, and quads when there was trips on the board. Like Sun Tzu says, "All war is deception."

Villain has $900ish, I cover.

Raise AA to $30 from MP, 3 calls including Villain from BB.

Flop J 5 2

Villain bets $55, I raise to $165, Villain calls.

Turn 7

Villain bets again, $200. He has about $500 behind.

Call? Shove? Fold?

Our most popular incorrect is Manny Machado. Not a bad idea, to take someone who gets a boost from defense. Unfortunately, he's only at 3.4 WAR right now.

Our next most popular incorrect was played by 4 contestants. Carlos Correa just got back from the DL yesterday, and he won't be incorrect for much longer. He also has a very bright future ahead of him. For now, he's incorrect at 4.2 WAR.

Our next incorrect is a would-be 2-pointer. I picked Nolan Arenado for his defense and All-Star offense last year, and was barely incorrect. Sometimes I get emotionally attached to my picks and chase them. I never seem to learn, because once again, Arenado is barely incorrect with 4.4 WAR.

Played by 3 people, our next incorrect is Clayton Kershaw. Once again, injuries to super-duper stars really suck. He's still amassed 4.4 WAR this season.

Now we're down to the would-be ace hunters. Zack Greinke is a particularly painful incorrect, since he's been good-to-great all year, but the WAR checks in at 4.7

The pressure of a big new contract seemed to weigh on Edwin Encarnacion at the start of the year, but the end of year numbers will probably look fine. He's at 2.1 WAR.

Remember around this time last year, when Brian Dozier went bananas for a few scorching weeks? Well, this year he's at 3.4 WAR.

Our final would-be ace is another cautionary tale of "when facemelters go wrong." Keon Broxton has been just fine for fantasy is his average doesn't kill you. He's at 0.9 WAR.
