Just by looking at the correct names and the incorrects submitted, I'd say this is actually a pretty tough question and probably best to go chalk-y.

But then again, because of that, the incorrect shouldn't be too painful because we don't have a large SHEEP, so maybe you SHOULD go ace-hunting.

Strategery.

Anyway, our two most popular incorrects were played by 4 players. Jon Lester had another fine season, and just missed for this question, with 18 QS.

Also played by 4 contestants, our next incorrect is Jose Quintana. He also had a fine season, and also just missed for this question, also with 18 QS. It appears txdome's time atop the leaderboard will be short-lived.

Oh wait, this is the question that I think will be super SHEEPy for me. Last one I should be good with if I got it right

Our next pair of incorrects were played by 3 entrants. Aaron Sanchez would have been a bit of a facemelter, as he was coming off a strong season last year. Alas, he finishes 2017 with only 3 QS in 36 IP.

Fack!!!! My Cubbies never fail to disappoint. No idea why I picked Quintana. I kind of wish I spent more than 10 minutes on this.

Our next incorrect was played by 2 players. Noah Syndergaard, sigh, DID manage to post 4 QS in 5 GS, which is pretty impressive.

This shouldn't be an extremely painful incorrect,

And the last question is always high variance, which is why I love it so much

Now we're down to the ace-hunters, which I'll reveal alphabetically. Cole Hamels is usually a reliable bet for this question, but he finished with only 14 QS.

Going for the bold, facemelting, AND homer pick, our next incorrect is Eduardo Rodriguez. And he had a fine season, 12 QS in 137 IP.

Another bold, facemelting, homer pick, Junior Guerra didn't last in the starting rotation for the Brew Crew and finished with 4 QS.

Somehow Kenta Maeda only had 5 QS on the year. I thought he'd been better than that.

The de facto ace of the Orioles, which isn't a distinction worthy of the title, falls to Kevin Gausman. He turned in a pretty nice year, and finished with 15 QS.

Our next incorrect is my aforementioned fantasy kryptonite, as I just can't quit Marco Estrada. He was a roller coaster to own this year, too, yet finishes with a respectable 17 QS.

Our final incorrect is the reigning AL Cy Young winner. Rick Porcello seemed a big regression candidate for this year, but came up juuuuuuuuuuuust short for this question. He tossed 19 quality starts this season.
