Nothing would please me more than Bautista re-signing in TO for another few years, then announcing his retirement tour and getting booed by every away crowd that can't handle how awesome he is. Then sign a 1-year extension after the season.

They're just sad they have a fallen comrad.
All teams deal with losing a leader in different ways.
Take the white Sox for instance, as they lost the leader of the clubhouse and now have one of the best records in the AL.

Oh yeah, because now athletes have to announce this a year in advance so they can do a ridiculous victory lap.
Ripken and Gwynn had it. How new is it?

I'm sure it happened in the 60s somewhere. Ruth didn't really have it tho, not with the Boston Barves anyway.

Hit 3 dingers somehow in one game at Forbes Field but was done a few weeks later, mid season

Wouldn't be surprised if guys like Ruth and Cobb would get gifts their last time visiting a city the way Chipper and others did, tho

What a joke Dietrich. Hits the end of the bat, and he grabs his left elbow in pain which was nowhere close to the ball. Ump awards him first base.

Replay shows clearly hit bat, better get overturned.

Wow. Worst call ever? Like seriously, ever?

After seeing yet another replay, how can that possibly not get overturned? The pussy wasn't even holding the elbow it could've possibly hit.

NY replay umps are just umps, so you've got the obese blue line going.

Not going to overturn a call unless it's the kind where ESPN is going to make a documentary about how dumb it was

If that happened in a playoff game, it would've been documentary worthy

Like, we see it happen on the field all the time. The ump who didn't make the call will not overturn the other unless he asks him to, no matter how obvious.

And he won't even say, hey you should ask me what I saw.

****ing losers.
