How are we not talking about this more:

Maddon:

I never read this book the Cardinals wrote way back in the day regarding how to play baseball...You can take that book and read it yourself because I don’t give a crap about that book. I want everyone there to understand we don’t start stuff but we stop stuff.

i was looking thru the mlb standings on mlb.com and noticed the tigers have an E next to their name where it should be the number of games they need to win to take over the division

does anyone know what that means? shane greene cy young, miguel cabrera triple crown, jd martinez mvp, etc.

lol Cubs

Drill Matt Holliday in the head, freak out when a pitch grazes Rizzo's pant leg* (Rizzo even took two steps towards the mound, :eyeroll: ), freak out in a press conference and repeatedly intentionally bean guys after whining about how unprofessional intentionally beaning guys is, almost losing the game in the process.

*intentionally throwing at anyone is awful, assuming Belisle did that to Rizzo, it's super dumb

you seem to have left out that the cards play the right way

That being said, if anyone whined about Rizzo stealing second up 5, that's moronic too. It's just hilarious that Maddon views himself as superior to the Cardinals after that pathetic reaction.

Can't support throwing at anyone, ever, under any circumstance. Pretty sure Belisle did just that. But I mean, I'm more concerned at the disturbing examples of racism from Cards' fans/the mascot than a ball that grazed Rizzo's pant leg.

Lol, you honestly think any of those were intentional today?

I haven't seen them at all, were they not? Pretty suspect times, ump obviously thought it was. What makes you certain they weren't? Maddon's quote sure made it sound like they were gonna throw at them.

Well for starters, they all happened with 2 strikes on the hitter. The ump literally apologized to Rondon on the field as he was tossing him because it was so obviously an accident, but he was obligated to because warnings had been issued and Matheny was about to throw a fit if he didn't. And like you said, they almost lost the game because it cost them their closer and they had to replace him with one of their worst relievers. If they were going to just drill a guy knowing it would be an automatic ejection, wouldn't they have done it with literally anyone else?

You've of course ignored the reason there was a warning. But to recap: Cubs are great guys who despite making clear threats totally unintentionally beaned two guys today after drilling a very important player fresh off of the disabled list in the head with a fastball. Cards are evil monsters because Belisle probably threw at Rizzo, grazing his pant leg. Got it.

Two strikes is so lol too. A 5-1 lead in the 8th with two outs, no one on, and an unimportant pitcher trying to earn a spot throwing. Cmon man, don't be dense. That's a perfect spot to throw at Wong.
