I usually don't buy into the LEADER OF MEN or THE GUYS PLAY HARD FOR_____ but having a manager add that kind of levity and camaraderie has to help over the course of a six month marathon

Bryan Price bats a starting pitcher in the bottom of the 12th with 2 outs and runner on 1st and 3rd with actual position players available. He had Barnhart on deck and pulled him and put Lorenzen up there.

but seriously, the one issue the A's don't have this year is with the rotation. Not like anyone would have predicted that, or predicted the complete dumpster fire in the bullpen.

These trades almost never make sense to me. Orioles traded Eduardo Rodriguez for a few weeks of Andrew Miller last year which probably improved their title equity by like 1%.

Unless you have elite top end starting pitching, isn't playoff baseball still super random? That said, acquiring an ace (Lester) is probably more defensible than acquiring a reliever or position player I think

hilarious but it's hard to care when it really doesn't matter if he's actually paying attention to the game in the dugout like it would in other sports. Just one of those things WIM players do.
