The Royals vs. the NL All stars would still win what, 40% the time? Probably more. They won't be playing the entire game either. It does make game 7 less likely to go to the AL but it's not like they are just handing it to the NL either.

I actually think this would make for a more interesting all star game (as long as this doesn't become a regular thing). I've always wanted to see how one of the best teams in the league stacks up against the best players of the other league.
