From a marketing standpoint, I'd love to see a promotion that says "Do you want to host game 7? It's not going to happen if you don't vote!" or the like.
The Royals vs. the NL All stars would still win what, 40% the time? Probably more. They won't be playing the entire game either. It does make game 7 less likely to go to the AL but it's not like they are just handing it to the NL either.

I actually think this would make for a more interesting all star game (as long as this doesn't become a regular thing). I've always wanted to see how one of the best teams in the league stacks up against the best players of the other league.

Maybe RBK should ask the Cardinals who the Dodgers are planning to start in September

Yeah it's pretty lol if people seriously think three innings of royals playing would somehow tank the chances of the al winning. That's not how it works like at all

I have not voted once for all star game but move onto better arguments like...anything else

Carlos Correa has reached base in his first 8 games. Too bad the stros aren't super geniuses and took Appel over Kris Bryant. Would have been GOAT left side rookie infield.

It's not just them all playing 3 innings...it's the fact that it will cripple the bench too, since every team has to have a rep.

i really hope the entire al all star team is full of royals so the mlb and other leagues can change this stupid fan voting, fans are terrible at judging all star qualities and don't deserve to vote

they can have fans vote they should just reduce the effect of the fan votes on the final squad.

it's good from their perspective that fans feel involved in the process etc it just shouldn't have as much influence as it currently does.

everyone is overreacting imo, its a minor annoyance and a lot of people who have watched < 9 innings this year are talking about the ASG/royals/baseball. seems as simple a fix as restricting the votes to 1-5 per email account

Cardinals have clearly hacked the league. Injuries to Waino (season), Adams (season), Holliday (indefinitely), and issues with Lynn and Rosenthal now that look ominous, yet they have 43 wins. Next most is 38.

he's right tho that review was a joke.
I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a review that made the correct decision.

when the opposing teams announcers are saying the player was safe pretty lol when he's ruled out.
