The math says that's what he'll do, though. But you and I know he won't, because Jason Heyward is not a nail.

No way Heyward hits 64 HR. Try 74.

Some lol stats about Lowe's start tonight:

7 BB in 6 IP, although two were intentional
He threw more balls than strikes (62-60).

22 Called Strikes, SIX swinging strikes, 17 foul balls, 15 put in play.

He still managed four strikeouts...

Also, it's a good thing the Braves won today! Tomorrow: Kawakami vs Lincecum.

If there was 1 move that I could take back, it would still be the Teixiera trade, but the Lowe signing is a close 2nd.

I think he's the first Braves pitcher that has come to ATL and pitched worse than he did before he got here.

Lowe needs a visit from the ghost of John Burkett.

Comments like this make me realize that there really is no current MLB manager that is actually smart.

Tony Larussa said that if he was starting a team he would start it with a closer because those are the hardest 3 outs to get lololololol.

ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME????? LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

well, this is the man who had dennis eckersley, so his bias is somewhat understandable.

Situation that occurs a lot in baseball is here again...Tigers down 1-0 in the 1st inning CLE has runners on 2nd/3rd 1 out. In situations like this is it really +EV to have the infield back? I know there's a lot of factors but it seems like having them halfway and being able to read the play is the clear way to go about things here.

WTF are the Rays sacrificing for with a runner on 2nd, 0 out, and their number 4 guy up to bat? And Longoria after him.
