** Double posting this as it is apropos to two discussions I think.

I see pretenders almost everywhere I look in the NBA this year. Woyaz can't be labeled outright pretender yet of course, but they look like a shell of themselves for lots of reasons. So .... so .... I am taking the Lakers to win it all at very long odds. If this happens, I wonder what if anything it would do to the GOAT discussion??

I'll spare you the list of champions in all the major sports of whom it was said they couldn't possibly win it. Probably a few dozen. If you give 100/1 on the Lakers you would be getting a bargain since they are actually zero percent, right??

There's a defending champion establishing a habit of underperforming by 30 points at home and getting blown out. There's about 10 pseudo contenders. James' teams are not pseudo contenders. Somebody has to win it. There's nobody home if the Warriors aren't home.

Bron missed a bunch of games one year, inflamed knee. Scary, it was right after he re-signed with Cavs for bukoo billions, had some serious miles on him, and was saying, "Oops, my knee."

If they put Bron at power forward under the hoop all game, as could happen late in career, how many rebounds a game could he get? His whole career has been utterly anemic in offensive boards, down there he would be a frickin tank, getting 4 or 5 instead of 1. I'd like to see it happen as he loses a step, be a fast power forward instead of a slow exterior player. He could Mail Man it till age 40 maybe.

The guy who makes the plays very rarely get a bunch of offensive rebounds.

So, if you want him to get a lot of offensive rebounds, then you don't want him making plays.

Seems like a dumb idea.

He got swept because one of his teammates is too stupid to be alive, plus, the roster was awful, and he was going up against perhaps the goat team. How many games were they expected to win?
