But it was a highly amusing incident from all involved. From the ball boy's perspective, it was definitely all worth it.

The sense of humour radar is definitely off itt.
This, the event is basically one of idiocy humour and omfg drama, no one was actually hurt.

What's even better is that his picture shows him holding a beer.

Old enough to drink, old enough to get kicked.

The ball boy would have needed to black up for any interviews with the press for additional hysteria.

Gimnasia-Jujuy goalkeeper Gaston Pezzutti was sent off after an altercation with a ball boy during his team's 1-0 defeat at River Plate in the Argentina championship at the weekend.

It was the latest in a series of incidents involving ball boys in Argentina, who are often accused of time-wasting when the home team are defending a slender lead.

The ball boy, who Argentine media said played in River's youth divisions, dallied as he returned the ball for a goal kick in the 70th minute of Sunday evening's game.

After finally collecting the ball, a furious Pezzutti throw it back at the youth and was sent off. The ball boy was also ordered dismissed.

Relegation-threatened Gimnasia finished with nine men after Daniel Ramasco was also sent off for a second bookable offence Tin the 90th minute.

Colombian striker Radamel Falcao Garcia scored the only goal in the 59th minute of the Clausura championship game to give River a consolation win after their Libertadores Cup elimination last week.

The first ball boy row blew up at the start of the month during the derby between Gimnasia-La Plata and Estudiantes.

The referee added on six minutes of injury-time after the balls were hidden behind the substitutes benches in the second half with Gimnasia-La Plata leading 1-0.

But the tactic backfired when Estudiantes scored with the last kick of the game to draw -- and the hosts complained that too much time had been added on.

Having looked at the closeup again it seems like Hazards played the ball and the kids just timed his act perfectly. Hazard laughing after suggests he knew the kid wasn't hurt and thought the whole thing was a bit of banter.

Congrats Swansea, hope they win it.

Ballboy is obviously an absolute scumbag but so idiotic of Hazard to get involved. Semed like the whole lot of them were at it throughout the game.

Those talking like Hazard's intent was to hurt are even more ******ed though.

Swansea should be fined, ballboy never do a game again and Hazard get a ban and no room for any complaints from any party.

he had delayed the game all of like 4 seconds when he kicked him. to put them on anything close to the same level as scumbaggery is laughable.

It's not as if he put the ball out to him then pulled it back and wasted half an hour.

If Hazard just leaves it and waits for it, it wastes like 5 seconds. Lets not forget every ball boy in the country does it when it's the opposite team wanting the ball.

Also guy who made the Swansea ball boy twitter account really screwed that up, had so much potential.

We need more Chinese immigrants to come and be ball boys. They have such a strong work ethic every ball would be returned in under two seconds.
