I didn't realize he did this late in the season. Thought it was a season long promotion.

"Free publicity" isn't worth much when everyone in the city already knows you. He's a local celebrity. The other side of the coin is that if Denver wins, he probably gets 1-2 more million in revenue that probably wouldn't have been spent. Plus interest off those poor folks who finance the ****.

Anyway we need a list of known Super Bowl degens:

Mayweather: $10.4 Million
Gallery Furniture: ~$4 Million (Cost)

Wonder who else lost millions on this game. Probably a long list of people.

nah, even if everybody knows you publicity is obviously good PHB. Why else would McDonalds run hundred of commercials a day?

A friend of mine who is in a sports betting syndicate reckoned that Mayweather was gambling on behalf of a sharp.

Yup. Said that if he had bet, it would have been on the Hawks 'cause they both play good defense.

They obviously chose to let the squares hang themselves betting Denver. Taking bets at -110 odds with balanced money will generate like a 5% hold. They weren't even close to balanced and they didn't care. If Denver and the over had covered the books probably lose money on the game which does occasionally happen. They lost like 2.8% a few years ago on a Super Bowl.
I think we are saying the same thing? When I said perfect line I meant what the actual line would be if you were God, not a line where the money was evenly distributed.

For like the 2 weeks preceding the SB, anyone who bought $6K worth of furniture would receive a full refund (but keep the furniture) if Seattle won. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. He was on the news saying that over 1,000 local families spent $6K on furniture for thep promotion and they had to refund it. They were working until like 3am every night shipping all this **** and lost millions. I actually just saw the promo on Saturday and thought "God damn that's a good deal..." but figured there were all kinds of bull**** hoops you had to jump through to get it.

Guy was a crackhead in the '80s and a few years ago some old retired, disgruntled ex-employee of his set his warehouse on fire.

He gave a speech at our school in 1997(maybe 96?), about being sober. I always had a sneaking suspicion it was court ordered. I lived in Seabrook at the time.

LOL Mayweather. That's pretty weak. So how many of the winning bets that he's bragged about on Twitter has he later admitted were fake and that he thought the losing side was going to win? What a poser.

Uhh, thatsthejoke.jpg. Rivera started going for it on 4th ("gambling more") in a lot more spots where he should but where he used to punt or kick. Previously, he'd only ever really go for it on 4th when the distance was very short and he was losing in the 4th quarter (playing only AA). That's not all it takes to be a good coach, but it's material improvement, and it definitely won his team some extra games that the old Ron would have lost.

sort of splitting hairs, but if they play again SEA is definitely the favorite, but prob not to -3. -2 or something I think. SB lines are always sort of a little bit weird b/c of how much casual money is in there, so I think the new information we got would have moved the line more than what you typically see. every 'advanced' metric you could find before the game said SEA > DEN. FO, ANFLS, SRS, Pythag, etc

The LVH sportsbook Director who has a lot of cred and has been around said a rematch would be at least -3 maybe -3.5. Seems about right considering the real line the first time should've been SEA -1 or so.

Yeah that's what I meant. A rematch gives us a ton of information. The original line moving barely off pk at best makes sense.

BTW Clark with the GOAT bet of the SB, assuming it was honored at SEA +3
