I don't really think you can say that either. South Africa will be our likely opponent and we are pretty evenly matched. Just losing that game does not necessarily make it a choke.

Not chokes: losing to an equally matched team, especially in a relatively high variance situation like an ODI

I think 2007 we could and should have done better in the semi. We were in good form before the cup. The other times yeah probably slightly worse sides or a brillant individual effort took the game away from us.

The bookies should be worried by the NZ result as it leaves a far more open race to win the cup. I reckon it is too close to call between Aus, NZ, SA and India. But if there is a team with their nose in front, it's Australia.
