I'm guessing "us" refers to NZ, in which case i agree i love the NZ bowling attack.

The biggest roadblock for NZ is gonna be the final, apart from the pressure, its gonna be the first game they play in australia and that too at the MCG. its a long way removed from the 60m boundaries and its one heck of a time to adjust to totally different conditions.

I like New Zealand but I don't think they have the batting to win it. Good chance to make the final though.

Yeah our battings not the best but it's easily good enough to slay the joke Indian attack all over the MCG, Australia a little more difficult.

Saffers thought the same way too, for some reason it didn't work out.

That reason is obvious and has been for a long time for anyone who likes to read body language.

The dirty safas have easily the best team on paper but they are just overburdened with expectation and afraid to lose. Their comical exits from previous world cups also contributes and it cant help to have two major architects of those hanging around in the media and coaching staff .

Not to mention the SA minister of sport who saw them off with a rousing speech commanding them "not to come back a bunch of losers". They will never win and most probably dip out before the final. I made good money of India and Pakistan beating them after watching them fumble vs Zimbo. Most over rated "team" in the cup

That's not possible ..

Am in the US now, to watch some basketball - and the TV channels here, have v little cricket coverage, so, am having some downtime.

I like either India or S.Africa to win the whole thing .. If S.Africa play N.Z. Along the way, that will be my next big bet.

Be good.

You know some inside stuff about SA? Can't fathom why U think they are good.

Clobbered by NZ in warm up. Goosed by Zimbabwe. Thrashed by India. Beaten by Pakistan. Looked frightened the whole time.

Too much relying on Steyn, Amla and AB. They need something to change fast if they are to even make the final

Those are good points, and I suppose at 4/1, they are a lay rather than a bet, but, always like sides with batting 'game changers', and ABD, is about as good as it gets.

Tahir is the key for me. If he plays well, the team is well balanced .. if not, its lacking, almost big time.

I suppose most of the quality teams field well, but SA field as well as any, which will help.

The cup is all to play for .. but, would love to see a NZ / SA game .. and how they price it.

Ya this. SA are not even close to the top team on paper. Their batting is super thin after AB and Amla and bowling is weaker than it has ever been in a WC. Probably the weakest WC squad in SA history.

Australia have to be FIRM faves now followed a way behind by an ABD led SA and a rejuvinated India imo

Oz have the whole squad package and the confidence + home advantage which they know how to take capatilize on

As much as I would love NZ to win it, we have choked just as much in the past as SA in finals

I sure hope Im wrong though (deep down I know our squad CAN do it)...

How did you guys lose to Bangladesh 3-0 couple of years ago and couldn't win a test match in that series, also I remember Zimbabwe chased 325 something in an odi and few weeks later you almost lost a test match to them. Your team was always ranked 6th-7th or below in both Odis and tests. You came out very strong last year and this year and are one of favorites now. I guess that was because you played most of the games in your home but outside nz/aus I don't remember nz team winning any series.

We actually lost 7 odis on the trot over there in two series and it was down to a Combination of a few things. Conditions dont suit our seamers over there at all, and at the time we lacked a wicket taking speedster. Also the bangles style at home is just perfectly suited to suffocate ours.

Pretty sure one of those series we lost we happened to leave a bunch of our top guys at home too........and we didn't have the depth then that we had now. Mitchell McClenaghan <3 , Boult, Neesham, Anderson werent around. Clowns like Rob Nicol got multiple caps ffs

We have quite won a few odi series away btw, also won test series in windies and drew with Australia away etc

Agreed. There has never been an expectation on NZ to do well in previous world cups. If they don't make the final for this one, they will be chokers.
