What does Arlovski handling Fedor have to do with Mir being able to beat him?

As gehrig said, he has no standup and is inferior to Fedor in every single aspect of the game.

It's common knowledge the UFC pays more than the reported salaries, to the big stars and guys who put on great fights. They're still getting royally ****ed in the ass.

And Machida just made $200k to show at UFC 104. No win bonus.
What's so ****ed up about the Champion's Clause is now that Machida is at the top of his profession, he has zero leverage to demand a raise.

I have to disagree there. Fedor has better stabd up and wrestling but he's getting submitted if fight goes to ground.

I love how Arlovski got the better of 2 exchanges, nothing major and that counts as owning Fedor to some people. Also a massive LOL to Mir being able to beat Fedor, I know I am repeating but seriously how could he win?

You also realize Nog has 3 times the BJJ as Mir and Fedor has fought on the ground with him for like... 30+ minutes spread over 3 fights right...

Ya no, not gonna happen. If Fedor can hang with Nog on the ground pretty easily, then Mir stands no chance at all.

fyp

Even Mir thought he was going to lose to Nog going into that fight... for good reason, he would have had Nog not been ill, out of shape, and injured.

The only reason Mir is thought of so highly by casual fans is because of Dana hyping him as "The best ground fighter in the HW division" in the run up to ufc 100.

I can think of 5 heavyweights off the top of my head much better than Mir on the ground. (Nogueira, Werdum, Barnett, Gonzaga, Roger Gracie(even though he is only beginning his MMA career))

Also keep in mind Mir lost in a grappling match to Roy Nelson (current TUF cast member).

Mir handles him on the ground just like Kongo would outwrestle him and Velasquez would outstrike him.

And DO_ is right, his takedowns aren't very good but he's so strong he can literally just pull someone to the ground, even someone the size of Choi, so don't see why he wouldn't be able to do it to Lesnar/anyone
because lesnar is much stronger and also one of the best wrestlers in mma.

tuf ratings when through the goddamn roof when he fought a few weeks ago. i'm the biggest kimbo hater around but you are out of your mind if you don't think he's marketable anymore.

you are confusing your opinion/ the opinion of other smart fans with the opinions of casual fans.

funny thing is people like to say Mir is the best HW on the ground because of submissions, but they completely ignore wrestling

Mir couldn't do anything to get out of Brock controlling him because he has no wrestling. Randy was able to escape several times because he has great wrestling.

kind of. pure wrestlers are almost universally garbage off their back. randy is much better than mir in scrambles though, which is probably wrestling related.
