The narrative comes from your president who says he's trying to save football because they can't afford anything so need super League to happen.

Everyone thinks they're just waiting to splurge the cash on mbappe and Perez is full of ****.

Perez is like 15+ years late with this ****. Calling for games to be reduced to 35 minutes or whatever would've been perfect for the Galactico era of seven superstars and 18 scrubs in the squad.

RITS, assuming you get M'Bappé/Haaland next summer what will the rest of your team even be two years from now? M'Bappé and Neymar couldn't offset having a broken team behind them this season. When super sharp Florentino let Makelele walk you had a bunch of world beaters upfront and where still leaking bad in midfield and didn't win anything for a few years.

Your stadium will be built that's nice but will it even be paid for? What about Real not being allowed to roll in taxpayer's money anymore? Seems like a lot of ifs and maybe right now.

My theory is psg paid absurd money to Ramos just to make a point to Perez.

Also every city in the US has a stadium nicer than the new Bernabéu will be. They're only renovating that **** because Florentino a scheme to turn it into luxury housing failed.

theory: no player in the history of football went to a club because of how much revenue the stadium generated.

Also PSG is going to pay 20M in wages to Ramos over those 2 seasons, let's stop calling it free

The fact that Ramos was begging for 2 years apparently when PSG only wanted to offer 1 should say it all

The premier league clubs now getting TV money and commercial deals to rival Madrid/Barca has changed the game as expected because at a minimum it forces them to pay way more in wages/fees for elite talent. The big two in spain didn't dominate the last decade because they had a nice stadium it was because while United/Liverpool got 40m a season in TV money they got 150m.

Those days are gone and EPL fans also claimed teams would take the Europa league seriously when first place was worth more than 1 extra premier league place. They added in a CL place for the winner and all of a sudden prem teams in the final and winning it every year or so.

Sancho is a great signing and Varane would be excellent. Need to get a decision on Pogba either extend or sell then buy grealish. Need a DM upgrade over Fred/Mctominay too, Ndidi would be perfect but wishful thinking.

2 wins in the 7 years is hardly every year or so.

You can make it three in eight for next season when Moyes ships it.

It's only been implemented for 6 seasons. The first season it was brought in Sevilla won it beating Liverpool in the final.

5 English teams have made the finals in 6 years. You need to go back 15+ seasons to get 5 English teams in the finals before it was added.

As much as I'd love Grealish I'm pretty sure we'd go for a more traditional CM to replace Pogba if he's sold this summer. Someone like Tielemans for ex.

Nope first season was the season Sevilla beat Dnipro

But yeh I agree English clubs are now taking it seriously. They just aren’t as good as you’re making out.

Saliba going on loan Marseille. Wtf. Kinda obvious when white is coming in but spending 30mil to send him on loan 3 seasons in a row.

Every person involved in the decision to buy him is no longer at the club. Wish him well, but doubt he ever plays a game for Arsenal unless Edu/Arteta go.

Ndidi or Rice will likely cost Sancho money. Not that we don't have that, but I have a hard time seeing the Glazers putting out a 200m quid outlay this summer. I'll happily take Bissouma if they are even thinking about it

I'd keel over in happiness if we don't get bent over by Leicester for Tielemans. I see him going to Pool though. Agree with your overall point though as a good 8 is what would be needed to replace Pogba

2 years left on Tielemans contract, last chance to get big $$$, could see him going for 50-60m this summer. Agree on plop, makes too much sense for them. We're not even thinking about him until the Pogba situation clears up.

it's not united and liverpool that are making life difficult for barca and madrid. it's city and psg

there you go. and I get it, it's the same for RM and Barcelona fans, we want to see each other be burried. It's pointless to argue, I can't be clearer than this. RM is going to generate even more money when the new stadium is finished and the pandemic is over, as in 1 billion+ and they will be able to compete and buy high level players as they've done until now.

what you fail to understand is that 90% of the young players aren't mercenaries of the highest level and will be reluctant to join PSG, especially after the main attractions Neymar and Mbappe are gone and certainly after seeing how little control over their future they have there. Look at the players you signed in the last 4 years since Neymar and Mbappe. Who's the biggest name out there? Buffon? And the next one? Keylor Navas? There is legit not one signing I would have made for RM. Poor Verratti and Rabiot wanted out. Maybe Neymar, too. If PSG has a broken team behind Neymar and Mbappe, why is the latter wanting to leave for yet another broken team with such a bleak future as you say?

And now you're celebrating 35 year old Ramos? For like 50m over 2 years? I would celebrate signing the likes of Pau Torres, Kounde, Varane, Upamecano, Skriniar, Bastoni etc., but there are levels to this. RM is not a retirement home. Maybe you can get Modric too next year.

There's a shitload of wanting here, almost as much as strawmaning.

Look i don't think you going to disappear from the face of the earth, if your expectations for the next 10 years are winning the CL every other year i just think you'll be far from it.

Your last two galactico signings are Bale and Hazard, our last two galacticos are Neymar and M'Bappé, Maybe Florentino had to sign them at gun point or something it's just funny how you're deflecting everything dumb Florentino did.

What if M'Bappé was using Madrid to get the best contract all along? Wouldn't that be beautiful?

It's great how you can fit into the same post the takes "our stadium is going to generate so much money everybody wants to play for us" and "only mercenarys want to play for your team".

Unfortunately can see him going as it's our transfer policy to only unload one 'big' player per transfer window. Also we just signed another midfielder, Boubakary Soumaré from Lille.

We got Di Maria because TV money made his wages possible. No chance Barca get hit with 150m Coutinho bill if not for best TVDITW. Same goes for Hazard price tag.

EPL clubs are forcing them into paying more for wages/fees so the team is getting weaker.

Barca paid a world record fee (or close to it) for Dembele when he was at BvB.

I think it’s more a case of they want a specific players and solely that player so they’ll pay what is required.

Whereas others will likely give up the ghost after a few unaccepted offers.

Dembele doesn't get bought if Neymar doesn't get sold. He was the "next big thing" available when Neymar forced his way out, it would just be like getting Haalaand now.
