Schwarzer is ****

We should've invested in a real keeper, especially since apparently we have recorded a record profit this year, yay!

There are backup keepers in the Bundesliga who are probably better than Almunia.

Liverpool+Arsenal+Chelsea=1 point.

Today was a good day.

09-25-2010 , 12:17 PM
Liverpool were **** for 60 minutes until we got rid of Poulsen and put Ngog on, I think Liverpool should just stick to 4-4-2 against most teams.
We looked strong up front for the last half an hour but our back 4 dont look safe enough and poulsen made two mistakes that lead to a goal.

I dont know if this squad is simply not good enough or just needs some twisting, Hodgson doesnt seem to have a clue , Im not saying this because Im chilean but Pellegrini was obviously a much better choice, but he wasnt chosen for PR bull**** which shows how much our owners/board suck.

Also: Jara scored a goal! Or almunia did w/e
09-25-2010 , 12:18 PM
marty, i dunno how you can hate on woy, it's not even his squad.
09-25-2010 , 12:22 PM
That loss is all on Wenger. They took a bull **** attitude into the game and at half we clearly needed to take Eboue and Diaby off the field but Wenger waited until we allowed a second goal. Almunia is to blame as well but the teams performance is all on Wenger imo.

Roy Hodgson is just a syndrome, I blame Juventus for not beating Fulham in the last 16 of the Europa League.

Only picked the pool/s'land draw right. Banker Arse, insured a Spurs win. Last night changed Fulham/Everton, B'ham/Wigan from 1-1 draws to home wins, fml.

Trotting out a first team for the Carling Cup tells you everything you need to know: Arsenal knows its only chance this year is CC or FA Cup.

Despite spending money (still diving in the cheap bin, though) the defense is in shambles. Aside from Verminator, we don't have any defenders, we have atheletes. Yes, they have football skills, but nothing between the ears. There is a reason why these guys come cheap.

I have come to recognize that Wenger thinks of himself as capable of finishing these players by giving them a winning mentality and football smarts. However, he himself lacks the former despite having the latter in spades. At some point, he has to recognize that he isn't getting through to these players. Before it was Kolo's fault, then it was Gallas' fault, etc. Well, its the manager's fault for not having more than one polished defender. You can have a few knuckleheads if you have some football smarts back there as well.

Also, no excuse for Almunia's lapse in concentration. Indeed, he may have been following the lead of his "defense" who drifted first, but that is still no excuse.

* Time for a stupid analogy: Wenger reminds me of the guy in (American) fantasy football who builds his team entirely of value picks and sleepers. They will crow about how their roster is so deep, but there is no quality at the starting positions. Here, Arsenal has Adrian Peterson, then a bunch of "value" picks that just fill out an above-average roster.

Anyway, I am convinced that Wenger cannot build a team that can win the Prem. He was able before everyone else caught up to him in scouting, etc. (think of the Dodgers who were miles ahead of most other clubs when it came to scouting foreign players. They no longer have any edge and they have not adapted to win by "traditional" means) but he has shown that he has failed to adapt to the way the league is now. Of course, we will hear about how shrewd he is in the transfer market, but I think I made my position clear on that subject.

I like Arsene and I think he has done the world for Arsenal. But something has to change. I am not suggesting that he be moved out, but I am suggesting that someone with some balls get in there and insist on acquiring more elite players. What is happening this year is a disgrace and an insult to anyone who cares for Cesc. Wenger did not rebuild the defense properly and he has a bonehead for a keeper. I also like Almunia (he has been a loyal guy) but he has oatmeal between the ears. He has technical skills, but he is guaranteed to **** the bed quite regularly.

He's a good manager, he's just been left with an utter crap squad that consists of 4 players, **** knows how he (rafa) managed to get a 2nd place league finish with the squad he had. He also spent a load on utter pish as well.
