Against Chelsea, City's 4-3-1-2/ 4-3-2-1 or whatever you want to call it (De jong/ Yaya/Barry and then an amorphous front three of Tevez, Silva, and Milner, is actually probably a good idea. With their front three working fairly hard, Chelsea has gotten very little play through the middle (they probably miss Lampard for me). This has led to Drogba being frozen out of the match so far and some glimpses of chances on the counter for City.

Boyata has done quite well so far, in what must be a tough game for him. AJ would have been better than Milner for today imo.

The thing is every time they get the ball out wide, there is never anyone in the box.

Where as when Chelsea attack you see 2 or 3 players making that run into the box.

Off the woodwork.

Could be 0-1.

Even when City break there is only 2 runners.

I too would bet my house on them not scoring, unless it's from a set piece.

City started well, Chelsea coming into form now though. Drogba still not involved at all but I would suspect he's attracting a lot of attention from the CBs and opening the space that Anelka and Malouda have been exploiting lately.

Think I was too kind on Drogba last week about diving. Must have though if he stays on his feet a couple of weeks he'll get away with hitting the deck every time in the next game.

This season its been Adam Johnson. Obv must have to start the big money signings in the big games. Word must have came from upstairs

Dont think having AJ in there instead of Silva would make that much a difference defensively

Tevez is City's best player but Yaya has been their best so far this season. Agree though in that I'd prefer AJ to Milner in this game. I don't see it as a big problem though, as I suspect AJ will get some good minutes later in the game as the players tire and the game opens up, which makes sense to me.
