60 mins in Owen is still playing. Probably not even on the bench for the final. Could mean a one striker formation.

grauniad had a great quote today re: last night's game -

Seven members of McGuinness's starting XI were local boys, as were 10 of Pemberton's squad of 16. By and large their players did them credit, the explosive speed of McGuinness's side countered by the composed short-range passing combinations of their opponents.

not sure i've ever seen "composed short-range passing combinations" used to describe any blades side ever

Nev off Wootton on for his first first team minutes. Just need to get the ball into their area and Halsey will gift us a pen.

What a spanking, not often we score five!

Cox had one of the best debuts in green i've seen in a while.

Massive respect for Neville, anybody who is as passionate and determined as he was during his career is deserving of it. Probably the best RB the Premiership has seen to this day.

Oh yeah, lol Bebe.

overly confident is not the same as an attitude problem, especially since everyone is quick to pile on a struggling striker saying they lack confidence.

I don't see the issue when a player feels like he should be playing and being vocal about it, other than finding it annoying.

Anyway, who cares, he's leaving.

I'll probably be accused of "trolling" by saying this, but to me, Bendtner and Denilson (and the supporters reactions too them, to a degree) are basically the perfect representations of Arsenal's failings for about the last 2 seasons.
05-24-2011 , 05:13 PM
None of us like denilson.
05-24-2011 , 05:15 PM
Yeah, that part was more about Bendtnahhhhh
05-24-2011 , 05:16 PM
Why even mention denilson then?
05-24-2011 , 05:17 PM
They're both fringe players that aren't good enough for a team that expects to win Championships, if that's your point.

seth,

you should probably just stick to the nba threads.

This whole discussion came up in the context of "Bendtnah for 12m, Denilson for 5m"

Both valuations seem right to me.

I don't see what you are trying to argue.
