honestly rooting for villa to get a CL spot because it means someone i dislike probably missing out. that said im pretty over the terrible punditry suggesting villa are in a title race, which like no they clearly are not. They are in a top 5 race and have a nice cushion thats it.

I follow the PL via British media and frankly have not seen any serious or consistent talk of Aston Villa being title contenders so not sure when you get your punditry

So Villa lose and they are still 3rd?? What is happening this season? Any chance we could see another Leicester type win? Arsenal was up there that year too

yeh no actual conversations really about villa being title contenders. we all know it would be insane to even finish top 4. some semi-fun conversation about having a non-usual team being there at xmas but nobody legit thought it.

realistic goal at start of season was to finish 6th and even that would have been difficult with the amount of money everyone spends?

getting 6points to city/arsenal to then get 1 from shef/united is so bloody frustrating. **** 'ell VAR and kamara

The points haul will be too high this season for another Leicester-esque situation to happen. But, Villa have done extremely well so far (to say the least) and are in a really good position to finish within the top-4 and very likely in the top-6.

Weird I've definitely feel like ive seen lots of convo in media/podcasts/twitter/discord that keep suggesting villa are definitely in the title race / contenders. It's especially annoying because ive generally heard/seen it from people who should know better than that.
