Happy Giroud, disappointed Alexis and bitter Mourinho. Crap game, but pretty good day overall I guess.

Yeah, its 50m budget for the accounting year, but as you said this could translate many different ways.

The year Drogba scored the winner v United was a worse game.

Lehmann was such an entertaining keeper. Beyond just all the craziness in goal

- scoring in stoppage time to tie the Revierderby

- being so pissed after being taken off at HT that he immediately took the tram home

- playing at Stuttgart but living near Munich, he took the helicopter to training each day

- stealing a fan's glasses after the guy had told him to be normal for once

Jose Mourinho we want you to stay.

Legit curious how is Salah handling ramadan. is he really going to play a champions league final with nothing in his stomach since 5am?

It's complicated. It's quite common for local communities to issue fatwas for sportsmen to break their fast, I would imagine that it would be extra-justifiable in this case. You could probably even have grounds for health reasons in summer months.

This is a case in Germany: http://www.dw.com/en/professional-at...-say/a-5883577

And a BBC article, which states you can kind of get out of it by giving extra money: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rowing/34125890

Obviously it doesn't get around the fact that he may want to fast, which Liverpool may not be happy with.

lol religion.

Turns out you're not allowed to have a wank either, which is consistent but it's extra not allowed during Ramadan apparently.

I hope Mane and Salah keep Ramadan , we dont want God to be pissed off at us before the big game.

I'm sure Robbie Fowler will support them both with whichever decision they make.

Ramadan moves back about 10-12 days per year, so it's soon going to be a serious PL issue. Reasonable to force players to drink (i.e fine/sue those who don't). Could be a big legal issue although I suspect fear of offence will win out.

Does anyone know how many of the Muslim players who "kept Ramadan" during the 2014 World Cup actually kept Ramadan? Algeria took Germany to extra time. The official line was the Algerian team were fasting. And I didn't see them drink after 90 minutes. Is it really possible to perform at an elite level for 120 minutes sans hydration (Having already fasted for almost ten hours before kick off)? I presume they stayed hydrated through the day and at half time. Also that they probably had a swig post 90 minutes which the TV producer didn't show.

The whole Ramadan issue has been covered plenty of times at tournaments.
They get permission to delay it until after the tournament/matches, which seems to make a mockery of the whole thing.

There are some exceptions. For instance sick people, really old people or superstars that have to play CL finals for Liverpool.
