As the plop title dream melts away (for the twenty somethingth year on the trot), so does Nic's bravado.

Same again next year.

I've only just recovered from my hangover.

The bad part about remembering that final is that konchesky scored and it reminds me that we actually signed that guy as our starting lb.

lol, that goal.

I remember when there was talk of him being transferred, someone on one of the forums said "Konchesky's going to Fulham". Some wag replied "Has he gone to retrieve one of his crosses?"

Man, that guy sucked.

I thought it would be remembering the eleven years that followed

Konchesky was no Andrea Dossena as a fullback was he.

Konchesky>Dossena>Moreno

City definitely favourites but no English club is much of a favourite over any team in CL knock out stages. Spurs should have done better vs them but it was two hard games. I don't think even the media or die hard city fans can possibly be complacent about this. Or can they?

Shanghai, the team with Tevez and Obafemi Martins, has lost 2-0 at home to Brisbane Roar in a single leg qualifying game for the Asian Champions League. Brisbane are probably the 4th best team in the 10 team Australian league right now.

Would seem that Monacos strengths play right into city's weaknesses so no shot should they be too thrilled about the draw. I mean it obviously could be worse but should still be entertaining at worst.

Spurs where very unlucky in the first match vs Monaco at Wembley. Monaco had two low xg chances and score both of them. However Monaco were the much better team in the alternate fixture.

@tehbandit Fabinho is very good and would be an upgrade for ManU.

Brisbane Roar. I can't think of a setup. Brisbane Roar is the punchline.

This is the kind of thing Johnny Carson would use as a punchline.

Monaco will slap City's ass then Pep will send 80 millions to Monaco to get Bernardo Silva, the best player in that double-header

If we could get like 50M for Özil, I'd sell. Assuming that money is used to buy new player(s). Or what Wenger prolly will do is sell Özil and next season our starting midfield will be Wilshere-Ramsey-Coq. With Wilshere and Ramsey getting injured so Elneny and Savvas Mourgos will cover.

Okay. who will play alongside Coq for the other 32+ games when the first two are injured?

Need to bring on Salami. We've got a bunch of good crossers, but no one who can head a ball.

Judging by todays Lolester line-up, they don't seem to care much about winning the FA Cup.

I guess avoiding relegation is the top order of business..

Honestly, being out the FA Cup would probably be a good thing, however losing yet again, and to a crappy team would suck. So bit of a quandary...
