FIFA (or UEFA) obviously ban any kind of state aid (If Real Madrid got a deal like WH, we'd never hear the end of it), so this one may still have some mileage left to run.

Will be interesting to see how much WH charge for tickets and if they have to give any away to fill the ground.
The stadium deal went out to tender. We won with what they saw to be the best bid. I would have thought all the shady stuff would have come out through the information gained when Spurs hired those blokes to go rummaging through people's bins.

The government built itself a white elephant. Nobody wants it, apart from two shysters that are happy to send us to a dog's breakfast of a stadium.

The **** tickets will be virtually given away to local schools etc. It should make for a rip-roaring atmosphere, I'm sure you'll agree.

When asked where he will watch the game, Mourinho said: “I don’t know. Maybe I will sit on the street corner with my iPad watching the game. Maybe I won’t even watch it. Maybe I will follow the live ticker. I don’t know.”
looks like Jose might get the sack via whatsapp on his ipad

I absolutely agree WH haven't done anything shady. However, that doesn't mean that the deal they brokered which was undoubtedly in the best interests of the club, doesn't amount to state-funding.

To be state aid it has to be selective. Since it went out to tender, I think it is hard to argue that is the case.

btw have there been any recent mourinaids complaints that were justified? i cant remember chelsea being wrongly denied. maybe the flacco one vs soton

hilarious that he would bring up the goal line clearance at half time

Wenger's "weak and naive" comment haunts Mou to this day. He can't let it go. Clearly outwitted.

Spoiler:
too bad he is gone after the Stoke game

That's as good a description of José as I've seen.

It's forbidden for managers to go into the officials dressing room at half time. Going into the dressing room and abusing the officials and only getting a one match ban is favouritism due to MourAIDS recent history with the officials and the FA.

Seems worth pointing out that Mourinho is quite aware of how bad it looks when a referee is seen talking to a team coach at half time, since he drove Anders Frisk out of a job a few years ago.

Not even for something Frisk had done btw. All those death threats were for something Mourinho had made up. He should've been banned from football then.
