Robbie Savages book review been done? seems to be pretty cutting edge stuff;

Savage also has a theory on why English clubs can no longer compete in Europe, saying teams lack the ability to up the intensity currently. “Perhaps the English teams are now so full of foreign players that they don’t possess the required skill?” he argues.

). But we definetly have less fans that watch the games in the telly. In Chile ESPN has the right to two games a week and they havent shown a single Liverpool game yet. I expect that to change with Klopp but still.

Actually lot of Liverpool's fanbase are poor/anti-establishment/anti-consumption so they don't feel the need to stock up on merchandise to prove their worth as a fan.

The Liverpool v. City friendly at Yankee Stadium tells me this is not the case in the east coast of the USA. It was about 90% Liverpool supporters and 10% City

I recall "liking" MK Dons after a league cup tie early last season. Pretty sure I've also liked Oldham, Swansea and Villa over the years for similar reasons.
