Yeah I can get on board with these but those who think he dives just as much as others is simply not true.

50/50? Yeah keep hating.

Well, that's why "violent conduct" and "serious foul play" are in the rules.

How many teams in the world would be better than Barcelona if you removed Messi from Barca and put them on XXX team?
04-27-2011 , 04:41 PM
yeah, i mean is there one player in the world who doesn't dive?

of course Messi dives, but as others have said, less frequently than most good attacking players. he tries to stay on his feet and fight through challenges a lot of times. and when he does dive, he's not a theatrical bitch about it like many others. just out there doin' work, and diving is part of the game. probably earns him some respect from the refs too.

Lol at Guardiola trolling Real by bringing in Sergi Roberto.

This year? None. Chelsea, ManUtd and RM would be nearly equal. Arsenal, both Milan teams, Bayern, City and prob 2-3 more teams would possibly be in contention as well, but aren't really built to just put Messi in the lineup and reap the full benefits.

edit: Give them a year to build around the best player in the world, get some key pieces in and I think Chelsea/Utd/Arse/RM/Inter would be better.

Going to be interesting post-match interviews and whatnot, atleast.

Well, expect a much more fun match next week - unless Real just go out to kick our players - as they need to attack from the get-go.

A+ troll.

As for Messi diving, sure he does. Everyone does. But he does it significantly less than most forwards.

Now is a good time for this youtube:

Some of those he's borderline stupid for not going down.

Agreed, but the way the other post was worded could be interpreted as saying if he doesn't make contact then it can't be a red, which is wrong.

Yep, same. Perhaps it was just ignorance on my part but I didn't know he was capable of this kind of disciplined defensive performance.

Are ITV serious? One replay of the Red Card, seriously?

I meant on that specific tackle, not all tackles. On this specific instance, if no contact was made between Pepe's foot and Alves' leg, he should not have been sent off. I've seen it twice and am not 100% sure, but the ref only had one view and then had 22 players encircle him 2 seconds later. Tough judgment call.

Sums it up pretty perfectly.
