HUGE LOL
Go watch the first half. Look at every Madrid chances. Watch who is the guy who makes the key play on every one these chances.

Yeah but your arguments dont have much merit. You're cherry picking matches that you think Ronaldo has underperformed in while overlooking the ones he has taken upon himself to win single handedly. Its virtually impossible to play at a consistently high level in the "big" games although Messi tries his best to defy this.

You're just hating to hate at this point.

I see Xavi has given his patented anti-football speech. What a horrible bunch of absolute tossers this Barca team is. They should change their motto from "Mes que un club" to "More than one c*nt"

Because passing the ball around for minutes with no intent whatsoever to attack the goal is not anti-football, **** Xavi. The biggest reason to hate Barēa (and it has been mentioned already) is their sense of entitlement, get over yourselves.

They do seem to think that theirs is some sort of utopian vision of perfect football played by visionaries. No. Its just one way to play the game. They happen to be amazingly good at it.

amen. and playing with muscle and physicality is part of the game as well. just because everyone on your team is 5 ft 8 in and weighs 160 lbs doesn't mean you have a right to not get played roughly.
04-20-2011 , 09:40 PM
there is a difference from playing "roughly" and flat out assaulting players.

no one else see the numerous bad challenges by Pepe/Ramos/Arbeloa/Carvalho or that Alonso had to go for holding on?

yes i seen Busquets studs going in.

LOL @ Ronaldo not being a "big game player" whatever the **** that is
The goal was a really good one, but in this game and the other one versus Barcelona, he had another 4 or so excellent chances he missed.

yeah, Ronaldo was in a great opportunity and was too slow. how about when ozil lifted the ball over a defender to ronaldo who took that poor first leading it out of bounds and to the corner? that was a hell of an opportunity. i would expect a good college soccer player to score that one like 30%+ of the time. IMO ronaldo had like 4 or 5 great opportunities, which others created for him, and he choked. if it weren't for his header, i would say he was one of the worst players on the RM side.

FWIW, i like ronaldo and think he is a top player, but i was not overwhelmed by his performence these games. he is a great header and taker of free kicks .
