I really hope if England win the toss against Pak, they bat first. Apparently Pak cant increase their nrr enough if they bat second but of they bat first and win by 287 runs they would pass us on nrr which would be a Pak thing to do...

Phenomenal innings so far from Bangladesh against Australia. 3/201 (32) and the 3rd wicket was a self-induced runout, albeit with phenomenal fielding by Labuschagne.

SF team has to be Warner, Head, Marsh, Smith, Labuschagne, Maxwell, Inglis, Starc, Cummins, Zampa, Hazlewood.

Stoinis is not doing enough, neither is Smith or Inglis though but they can’t/won’t be replaced.

Zampa takes his 2nd wicket to become the leading wicket taker at this World Cup.

I’m rapt that England won the toss and batted, too many delusional Pakistan supporters entertaining thoughts that they could still qualify for the semi finals. Their 0.1% chance relied on them batting first.

I disagree. Only way to do it was to get early wickets by bowling first and bowling them out for less than 175. As unlikely as it was that was their only chance but their chances were pretty remote anyway

In today’s edition of useless maths, Pakistan will advance to the semi finals if they score 338 runs in 6.4 overs. If they get to 337 and hit a 6 to finish on 343, they can take 7.2 overs!

Decent 177* for Marsh, 175 run partnership with Smith.

Warner on 499 runs this WC.

Before today, Haris Rauf had scored 33 runs in ODIs with a best of 16. Tonight he scored 35.

Pakistan batters 9 to 11 scored 76 runs! Just the 6th ever 50-run 10th wicket partnership in the World Cup.

I got to say despite our team being clearly the inferior one to India to win 7 straight is a tremendous achievement. We'll probably lose against India but Pat Cummins is a very influential captain.

I’d be happy with SA v NZ so one of them can finally win a World Cup.

Will take a lot for India to lose though. I don’t see them putting in a bad performance so one of the other teams will have to play to the absolute best of their abilities.

india have had a flawless tournament so far but we have enough data to know that they aren't much more talented than NZ

could easily blow it in the semis

anything but an aus - india final is fine by me
