Has there been a better 3 fast bowling line up since the WI of the 80s that Australia has at present for the last better part of a decade?

Starc had a few brilliant years during the sandpaper era, not sure he's been much to write home about otherwise.

Edit - lol England deciding to bat first.
Quietly forgetting that Australia would've also batted had they won the toss...

Yeah I'm not quite sure about that. I hope that was all bluff.

But how long did they bowl together for? Just over 2 years? This has been more than 4 years that this trio has been together for.

Edit: looks like it was 13 test matches only and for 6 of those test matches at the end (apart from one where he got 4 wickets) Khan either didn't bowl or he got no wickets.

You never mentioned longevity.

If you add that in then you're really asking:

"Has anyone ever only had 3 quality pace bowlers for years on end?"

I sort of did by saying last better part of a decade - but yeah I'm looking at longevity.

Lol England and the no ball from Stokes. Also why was that not called by the umpire it was so obvious

Nothing worse than fist pump yessing Warner getting bowled, then seeing him getting recalled due to the ball being a no ball. Apart from maybe your team getting rolled for 62

So the question is really "have England had a quick that's neither terrible or continually injured outside of Anderson or Broad in the last forever"

missed most of today so far. Came back to a 'nine lives Warner' segment in the tea break

10 lives and he might have made his hundred. <That's a shame/>

Is my understanding of Jimmy Anderson not playing at Brisbane correct that after the 45 min hit out in training before the test he was like nah **** this it is too hot - I'll wait for the day/night test match in Adelaide

Has there ever been an occasion in Ashes history where opposing captains took each other’s wicket in the same innings?
