Booked $50 on India to win trophy at 3.6.

England looks like a lay at 4.8, but not completely sure. Most teams in general are weaker this year.

I think India are definitely favourites at this point.

I also feel like South Africa were written off too quickly after losing their first game. Despite the fact some of their best players are injured, their squad seems to have good depth and the fact that Ryan McLaren tends to perform well in English conditions gives their side great balance.

Can't write off a side with the batting talent that SA has. The only reason to write them off would be lol SA in ICC competitions.

Another shameful day for Australians. Beating up Joe Root? That's child abuse.

Even if he is only about 13, Root is a Yorkie, so I doubt he just rolled over against Warner, who only looks wide because he's such a short-arse

If Hughes is an opening bat, why isn't he opening the lolstralian innings today with Watson, instead of Wade?

So England beat Australia, Joe Root goes to celebrate in a place called "Walkabout", and this attack is considered "unprovoked"?

SMH - Warner altercation story

Quote:
Warner was of the belief that Root, 22, had been impersonating Proteas run machine Amla, who is a Muslim, and took objection.

It's the other way around. Any D/L formula would have favoured them and the N/R has made it very difficult for Australia to progress. In order for Australia to get to the semis either England must lose their last two games whilst they beat Sri Lanka or England must beat New Zealand and Australia need to win against Sri Lanka and make up nearly 2 on New Zealand in net run rate.

lol at the press saying we have discipline problems. We had just as many if not more issues about a decade though the difference is we were winning then.

It would be funny if Warner got sent home and Clark missed the ashes because then we would have 0 internationally recognised batsman - even Warner is debatable

Can't wait for the Ashes. Even though we will likely get smashed the conditions in England, when it doesn't rain, are the best in the world for test cricket imo. We will have very strong bowling attack this time at least
