Why have one captain's innings when you can have two?

Excellent work from Clarke/Ponting

lol 251*. who'd have thought that was even possible from clarke.

It's rare that a test match is in such a situation where a batsman has enough room to comfortably break a record. Clarke could bat all day tomorrow if he stays in (and gets support). Hope I'm not tempting fate.

It looked so easy for Clarke, but watching SA later DeVilliers looked even more comfortable. If Smith didn't declare he could have got a big score too.

I thought the same about Kallis yesterday. Shows class to bounce back from a pair with a double ton, and never looked troubled.

Mr Kallis doesn't much care for getting a pair it seems.

Also, is there one current top cricketer who doesn't date (or is married to) some serious totty? I'd not mind a go at Ponting's sister-in-law either.

He wanted to carry her over the threshold, but she wouldn't let him for obvious reasons.

Maybe if he gets to 300 some bat-maker will give him sponsorship deal.

Yeah, not a great time to be an Indian fan (not that I am). It's funny that Clarke's previous best score was 168, he'll probably at least double that.

I've always felt he's underperformed his potential in the subcontinent. He's a great player of spin but never made those massive scores. He could have a sick 5 year stretch like ponting had around this age

Let's not get carried away now.

Bleh if he breaks 400 against us, I'm going to be sick. I can't muster any strength to watch, but are we just bowling really bad or is he playing good/the pitch is flat?

Everyone is criticizing Dhoni's field placements, are they really that bad?

wtf? You get one chance at immortality and you take a pass? why not at least go t20 style for the last 70 runs. Don't even need 2 days to get these guys all out, let alone 2.5 days

Watch Sehwag or Sachin get that 400 now. Karma for spitting in the face of a shot at an immortal innings
