very excited about the big 12's chances at making some deep runs in the tourney...ill prob be betting against mizzou though, i think they are likely out in the first round and i think they are a little overrated by the public due to last year's elite 8 run

Mizzou is consistently the most underrated team in the Big12 by the public, polls, media, etc...

personally, i think KU got kinda screwed but whatever. i'm surprised duke isn't playing in ****ing durham.

Oh no doubt KU got screwed and Duke got crazy lucky, esp. if A&M loses in Spokane and they don't have to face them in Houston. I don't know how they got the 3rd 1 seed and I'm not sure why that meant they got the softest bracket, but they did.

after looking at kenpom and some of the posts on the clemson and mizzou boards, looks like two really similar teams going at it....virtual coinflip except the pessimist in me thinks we are playing our worst ball of the season..but i thought we would never make the tourney last year and that we kept gettin lucky, etc so my opinion means nothing


The rest of the big 12 got decent draws imo except for kansas ...like everyone else, i love baylor and k-state's chances at making nice runs

from what I remember between A&M and Clemson early in the year is that they are even more stubborn with their press than Mizzou is, we torched it late in the 1st half and they wouldn't get out of it.

Alright, so lets say Texas beats Wake, which they should...what % chance do we give them to take out UK in round 2 down in N'awleans? I would love to see them do it, but I'm wondering if I'm projecting that into a prediction or if they could pull it off. They have to play better defense and keep Cousins off the boards. Do that, and I think they have good chance.

Otherwise, I like:
KU - Champs
KSU - Elite 8/maybe final 4
Baylor - Elite 8/maybe final 4
TAMU - Sweet 16
Texas - 2nd round, possible shocker of UK
Mizzou - 2nd round
Ok St - not a good draw for them of GT

Texas wasn't overrated when they were 17-0, and they're not being overrated now. For a stretch they were still getting a little too much attention during their downfall, but that was a big story in itself. You can't say they were overrated at #1 b/c they had what everyone thought were a bunch of legit wins including double-digit wins against Pitt, Michigan State, and UNC. Sure, we find out the Tar Heels were posers, but MSU/Pitt are top-25 teams and they handled a few other teams easily from major conferences.

There resume is still pretty good, if you look at it as a whole, at 24-9, I think they should be a 6-seed. Adding in how poorly they finished the year I think an 8 is pretty much right on.
