It's time to not mention FED anymore, he's washed he is not a top 20 player and prob won't see week 2 in RG. He's by far the worst player in the top 8 seed. Fed is a very good draw and weakens the top half

I'm picking Nadal > Tsitsipas and Sabalenka > Barty finals. We've had 5 first time womens slam winners in a row at RG (swiatek, barty, halep, ostapenko, muguruza). Sabs will make it 6 in a row.

That’s the problem with then going solely by the rankings, I’m sure Wimbledon don’t but not sure.

Rafa should be the number 1 seed regardless.

Thiem out after winning his first two sets and losing the next three. Pablo Andujar.

Zverev lost his first two sets, but won the next two (and is in the process of winning the third). Playing world #152 and struggling thru the first round, ouch.

The new generation are all awful compared to gods Rafa/Fed/Novak. Murray and Wawrinka get special mentions, albeit they're done now. Everyone else in tennis sucks.

I’m kind of hoping they do kick Osaka out for ignoring the media. It’s part of being an athlete it comes with the territory.

Isn’t she the most marketable female in the world?

Endorsements will heavily outweigh prize money, in her case 10x more in 2020.

Kicking her out of slams may be the only way to go.

Also it's worth noting that there's been maybe 5 or 6 tennis players in the history of the game who aren't awful compared to Fed/Vax/Rafa.

Yeah, I mean, I hear ya. But I don't expect the top players that aren't those three to be losing/struggling thru the first round.

Related, Dimitrov retired while up in his match. Former thread hopeful seems like he's out of the running for ever winning anything. Off the top of my head he has one of the more disappointing careers. Such promise, and never won anything.

Rafa turned pro in 2001 when Thiem was like 7 years old. Novak turned pro in 2003. Everyone younger than the big three are the new generation. And they all suck.

They can kick Naomi out of the French and Wimbledon, neither of which she has passed the 3rd round.

Sinner was down MP against Herbert at 6-1 4-6 6-7 4-5, but saved it and went on to win in 5 sets.

From Naomi's statement, she seems to think that managing her emotions is everyone else's responsibility. Learning how to deal with hearing opinions you don't want to hear and respondng to questions you don't want to be asked is not a "mental health issue" it's a "being an adult" issue.

Watching Bianca now. I feel like her team is way overly cautious about her injuries. She's played only two clay matches this season (against total hackers) and looks rusty af, but perfectly fine physically. Her opponent is a steady dirtball grinder and it's a mighty struggle. I had Zidansek winning in my bracket.

First match of the tournament that's gone to 6-6 in the deciding set.

Andreescu, Asimova, Kuznetsova all out. Bianca lost 7-6 6-7 9-7. Keys won, she's battling against Coco for the final US women's spot at the Olympics. Congrats to Medvedev who avoids losing in the 1st round five years in a row. I'm disappointed Zverev won yesterday from 2 sets down, be awesome if Zverev and Tsitsipas both fluff a great chance to make the final, which of course they will lose.

Hard to go past Stef, but anything short of a final for him would be an underachievement.

And I've tipped Coco to lose in the 2nd round.
