And even if people want human umps the current system is stupid. The plate is by far the most important umpiring job. This was true even before replay. Yet MLB doesn't even assign playoff umpires based on who the best are. Additionally there is no reason to rotate SEVEN (one works replay) umpires behind the plate in a playoff series. For example MLB knows who the best 2 plate umpires are. Those 2 should rotate the plate in the world series and get a fat bonus-that is it. I don't need the best home plate umpire stroking himself down the left field line in the playoffs.

I am definitely for the robo umps. I think the bigger problem in that at bat, if I'm remembering it correctly, was the call on the inside. Almost the same exact spot was called a ball earlier in that at bat. Then to call a ball that I thought was slightly off the plate on the outside is pretty brutal for a hitter.
