mid-inning, Brad Keller forgot how to pitch, but somehow escaped allowing only 1 run.

7 consecutive balls at one point. He walked 3, and gave up a double and single.

this clown best play no part in the royals' future. lol started the year as their 'ace,' opening-day starter

He had one good season, one decent season, both inflated by fluke offensive numbers before the Cubs gave up on life and above average defense and outside of that what, has been barely replacement level since he entered the bigs? Javy Baez is also sort of the perfect player for casual fans to get excited on twitter. He just has a ton of high variance highlight reel defensive plays and every once in a while smokes a ball that makes great contact. He is/was on a team that's top 5 in national coverage so any highlight reel thing he does is getting blasted around. He also looks shredded for a baseball player so casualfan.jpgs think he's some baseball god because they only see that side of him, and not the minus offensive stats.

He's also a 28-year-old with 22 career WAR, so maybe he's actually kind of good and you guys are just casual-fanning based on his worst moments? He's flawed in some ways and I wouldn't trust him aging well enough to give him 200M, but he's been a damn good player in addition to being super fun to watch.

16 WAR over 829 games and a .302 career OBP. Hes only ever twice posted a WAR better than 2.4. Look don’t get me wrong, I can see how watching him is entertaining especially if you’re a Cubs fan, but he’s nothing special and never has been. 160 million would have been an overpay, anything more than that and we’re approaching bad news bears for whoever gives it to him

I only ever trust numbers and never the eye test but come on. That was easily the worst swing ever
