I tried watching last 5 minutes of that, way too overproduced. Does the NBA really need its version of the oscars?

ReddBoiler, you were dead on with your Donovan Mitchell is awesome call. Well done. Lucky for me so is Ben Simmons.

I'm pretty interested in what the Jazz will do wrt Derrick Favors. He's a bad fit next to Gobert; he spends a lot of time standing in the corner (he shot 20% from 3) and doesn't play down the stretch. But he's also a pretty good player and it seems like it would be hard to sign someone as good as him. He has a lot of value as Gobert's backup too.

If they sign him the Jazz are probably stuck with the current team, which is fine. They were good and fun and maybe Mitchell becomes a superstar.

Utah can't ask for much more than that. They don't either.

It's the epitome of a town that appreciates a competitive product.

they'll prob offer him something like 2/25 or 1/20 or something, and they won't have a better option with their space and he won't have a better option because the center market is crap.

edit: but if Dallas comes calling with 3/50 or something insane because it's cheaper than Boogie's 3/80 or Capela's 4/110, I wouldn't be surprised. I also wouldn't be surprised if Favors does weigh his options and eventually come back to the Jazz two weeks into FA because both sides realize there ain't **** else

Lol Jaylen Brown not top five improved . He went to from possible bust / minor role player to borderline super star.

Pacers decline Lance's $4M option. I realize no one else gives a shot but Jesus Christ what a terrible decision.

Gotta strike out on Tyreke and Barton before bringing him back apparently...

Lance is easily worth 4M to the Pacers. wtf is going on?

Lance isn't good? Pacers fans absolutely LOVE him but he's not getting more than the $4m to play anywhere else. Can always resign him for less if you need to keep him around as a mascot.

Most projections have us going after Gordon (lol) or Evans/Barton (lololololol) and then resigning Lance if those fail, which god willing they will.

The only way this makes any sense is if Lebron called Pritchard up and said he's coming to Indy on one condition...And since we know that didn't happen, this is almost assuredly FPS.

Averaging 14/5/1 is a borderline superstar?

Pretty rare for a 2nd year player to get serious MIP consideration as well.

Dipo had the award locked up. JB wasn't even that amazing, the biggest thing this year is yes he got better--that's expected for a 2nd year player but his minutes went from 17 mpg to 30 mpg. Dipo went from 13 PER with OKC to 23 with Indy, that's ridiculous with a jump in TS% from 53 to 57% and usage increasing from 21 to 30%. Dipo did drop to 13 PER from 16 in ORL though so as someone else mentioned, he might not have won the award if he went to a 20 PER like he could have from year 4 to 5. Dipo's MPG only jumped 1 mpg yet his ppg near 7 ppg.

JB went from 10 PER to 13 PER at 54% TS% To 56% and his usage just jumped 18 to 21%. JB was better in the playoffs but that's outside this awards scope.

Lance should get signed by the Warriors.

Now that would be an elite heat check.

Lance shot 29% from 3 and and 43% overall last year. Both #s are worse than Jeff Green. Can't imagine why a team doesn't want him soaking up wing minutes.

Sure the crowd loves it when Lance gets in the game, but winning is fun too.
