Pretty coherent team. IT was great value. Bit too much ball handling imo. Feel like Blake needs to get freed

Love spencer Ldo (Colorado). Methinks you could start him and play Thrill off the bench as well. Either way I like how you have lots of guys who can handle the ball but also play off it.

And honestly I'm not sold on him being a negative, especially in the role of low minutes and given he will have a season under his belt come playoffs.
Good team, but yea I'd have liked it a lot more if you could have just gone cheap instead of Marvin/Fultz and wound up with someone like one of the 2-3 legit BH options remaining.

I actually don't hate dinwiddie for a gamble but man it really shows how bad some of these late min guys are. He's never, ever done anything interesting in the league during the regular season, so you have to imagine it's pretty unlikely you get anything real from him... which means you're probably relying just a bit too much on Barton, who I still like and think was good value, to play pretty real starting SG minutes. Still like the team, just shows how awesome it is to have your last round pick be a 20m guy. My arm hurts from patting myself on the back too much

Again, I really do like the guy, really. But starting Spencer Dinwiddie in a 23 team league where he's got no real sample as a rotation guy in a 30 team league... woof

$1,242,240. Sorry for lack of content, @ splash pad with kids.

He was the guy I was hoping would get back to me, though.

I'm not starting him.

He was a rotation player and started 18 games, he averaged 22+ mpg last year at 23 years old.

This is also an 8 man bench and he's 6'6 as a point guard (meaning vastly superior flexibility to other guys).

Also the difference between him and someone else wasn't worth the tradeoff in gap between not affording Gortat.

Look at my picks. Outside of the first two rounds I've drafted cheap every round. I chose Wall over Paul to have 8M more in flexibility R1 too.

Dinwiddie is more likely to be a positive player than most--he was a top 10 pick pre-injury and is now like 22-23.

McBeef takes Victor Oladipo - 21,000,000

can someone double-check the salaries?

I think it's solid, especially if UNDRAFTED is available.
I can fill in the blanks from my last post tho...

I think that is good, with $79.95 MM spent

Round 8

PF/C- Mike Muscala 5,000,000

Decided I wanted to keep my size advantage going and go with a big for my last bench slot. I needed 3pt shooting and the Moose shows some signs he could be a threat. Last season he shot 41.8% on 1.6 (110 total, lowish but promising) in only 18 minutes per game. I think we will see MM gain minutes left over from losing Milsap. Coaching staff apparently really likes him. He's 6'10 240 and played 75% at C and 25% PF.

Team MAGNUM
G- Kemba Walker
G- Danny Green
F- Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
F/C- Anthony Davis
C- Kelly Olynyk
Bench
G- Dejounte Murray
F- Luc Richard Mbah a Moute
C/F- Mike Muscala

Muscala is a fine pick and was going to be a B if I went a diff A.

I think that team is seriously weak at 5 against post play tho. A lot of Olynyk's D #'s are like Amir's where they're a beneficiary of the system/teammates.

victor oladipo is my hard-won reward for saving my money, an ok starter in rnd 8

he's a guy who's basically solid at most things you want an sg to be decent at, and prior to a major change of scenery this last yr, was progressing on a pretty promising upward trajectory as a good secondary creator, competent offball shooter, and reasonably versatile defender of 1s and 2s. he'll probably get a bit of a reputational boost this year as he puts up bulk stats on a crap team

final team
Jimmy Butler$19,300,894
Jusuf Nurkic$2,947,305
Serge Ibaka$20,061,728
Tyler Johnson$5,881,260
Dirk Nowitzki$5,000,000
Justin Anderson$1,579,440
Lance Stephenson$4,180,000
Victor Oladipo$21,000,000

Cap Used$79,950,627
Cap Left$49,373

pg: johnson
sg: oladipo
sf: butler
pf: ibaka
c: nurkic

dirk/anderson/stephenson

i think this is fine. i don't see any particular 'stack' that makes this any more effective than the sum of it's parts, but i have legit players that runs deeper than most teams, heaps of lineup versatility, and enough ballhandling/creating to make up for my lack of a pure pg

when you look at the chance to take oladipo i'm basically contrasting it with the opportunity cost of picking dirk and johnson rounds 4/5. tbh i'm happy with that decision - imo the talent curve was getting pretty flat at that point and in a no-salary draft oladipo probs starts getting picked around then. so maybe i bought myself a 4-5th rounder with that strat, go me

Lol Oladipo. Maybe worst value pick of the draft.

I think Conley is fine here tho, just stinks someone with a value 1 couldn't capitalize. Hayward, Klay, and Conley are all such a level above all the other players drafted this round. I do like Middleton too (especially at his number), but he's clearly below them imo.

Expensive players this round at least justify their salaries, I think the flexibility that the cheap teams have in future rounds won't be $ actually well spent.
This was in round two, I think this has largely been proven to be true imo.

Soothsayer itt.

Agreed, I think he's better than Snell but neither of them fit my team. They're both good/proper value this round tho, (self-involved disclaimer) I think Gortat is value previous to this round.
