Who will run against Trump in 2020? Who will run against Trump in 2020?

It's an absolute joke that candidates are under such time constraints. I'd prefer that they only discuss a couple issues each debate with the moderator pushing for clarification when candidates dodge or obfuscate. I thought Tapper did a good job of trying to pin down Warren last night when she dodged a bit (imo) on reparations, M4All/ACA and controlling the influx of immigrants.

Bernie will be in downtown LA on Saturday. I will be there if I can.

It’s way too easily gamed. Right-wingers will just keep bringing similar suits until they get a panel they like.

Warren is a much stronger candidate than people here have given her credit for imo. If Bernie wasn’t in it she’d be running the table.

I kind of like her more then Bernie.

17% of respondents had an unfavorable impression of Warren, highest of any dem candidate.

That said, agree that Warren is being underestimated as a candidate, even tho she has no real path with Bernie in. The emerson poll I posted yesterday also had her with the same 52/48 matchup vs Trump that Bernie had.

Shuffle,

She's perhaps a Chartalitin, not charlatan. Seems like you're gold bugging here with your comment about "printing money out of thin air". You can't decide whether you want to slander Bernie for being a socialist or a neo-liberal here. Warren says she's not an adherent to MMT specifically, but calls it important. Krugman, also not an adherent, says he agrees with most of it. There's no divide here on monetary policy where Bernie is a socialist and Warren a capitalist.

Sorry Ron Paul isn't running.

Warrens path is a Bernie scandal (wife seems legit shady) or health incident.

She'd still have to deal with Yang

I dunno I think she is a lot more likeable than Bernie and will gain traction as people start paying more attention. Being female sets her apart and she comes across more caring/less angry than Bernie.
03-19-2019 , 05:10 PM
Men aren’t going to like her. It sucks, it shouldn’t be true, but it is.

I don't care for Yang and his apparent pandering to the alt-right is horrifying. However, in the general I think that he is the candidate most likely to bait Trump into doing a hilarious Charlie Chan-like accent during the debates.
03-19-2019 , 05:16 PM
That would give him a 1984 style landslide victory.
03-19-2019 , 05:21 PM
I don't think more caring/less angry is necessary a plus among the population. **** is ****ed up and people are pissed.

I don't think either of these analyses are right.

I like Warren and Bernie.

At this point Warren still has about 30% of people either never having heard of her or having no opinion. This is going to kill her. The race is between Bernie and Biden.

I wasn't really considering him until I found out he was involved somehow with the Cult of the Dead Cow

Actually not what I was referring to, but that could be secondary reason.
