Mayor now saying only one shooter.

Another politician cynically exploiting the tragedies, will definitely have blood on his hands for inciting violence in the AA community.

Quote:
Those of us who are not African American will never fully understand the experience of being black in America. But we should all understand why our fellow Americans in the black community are angry at the images of an African American man, with no criminal record, who was pulled over for a busted tail light, slumped in his car seat and dying while his four year old daughter watches from the back seat.

All of us should be troubled by these images. And all of us need to acknowledge that this is about more than just one or two recent incidents.

The fact is that there are communities in America where black families tell us that they are fearful of interacting with their local law enforcement. How they feel is a reality that we cannot and should not ignore. And as we work through this it will require us to ask and to answer some very difficult and uncomfortable questions.

It actually gets worse if you read on
If anyone out there is planning violence against the police right now, you ought to at least consider killing Dan Patrick instead. I mean, obviously don't kill anyone, but if your heart is set on murder, you could do worse.

What's going on here?

I'm old enough to remember when Republicans to a T would call the BLM movement race agitators and tell black people if they'd pull their pants up and stop talking that jive everything would be fine.

maybe this is part of the GOP pivot

cynical view would be that they realize they can act like they have empathy now that DRUMPF has locked up the white supremacist vote for them in Nov

Genuinely (pleasantly!) shocked at those comments coming from high-ranking Repubs, especially Newt. Could be the start of something positive if they can excise the Trumpistas but I admit my hopes of that happening aren't high.

If there was ever an overblown media event, this has to be it, 5 people dead, 1 perpetrator and 24h nonstop CNN coverage even on the international channel.

It hasn't even been 24 hours sense the murders. It has a long way to to to catch Malaysia Air which is my pick for CNNs beat to death treatment.

Well at least that is an intriguing mystery(with many more killed/missing). I feel that there is nothing more worth while to learn about this incident. Madman with a grudge shoots cops, gets blown up. THE END!

i'm sure trump will say we need to be monitoring black churches soon, or some other wildly offensive thing that his followers will nod along solemnly with

This ignores an insane amount of context, the most important being that they were police. This is sadly a very, very big deal.

Yeah, police overreach, corruption, misuse of power etc will be issues for a long time. This one event has not changed that, it is an isolated incident and is treated as something earth shattering.
Deadly violence against police has hardly been epidemic, as far as I know!

OK I just gotta throw down a lol/wtf at blaming BLM for any of this, because they're basically designed to be as non-controversial as possible:

http://blacklivesmatter.com/guiding-principles/

There's nothing in there about any of the socialist ideologies (reparations, racial wealth disparity, cough) that have historically been a cornerstone of civil rights activism. That website is mass appeal training wheels activism

Wow. I guess now that he's not running for President anymore, he doesn't have to worry about "being a decent human being" making him unpalatable to Republicans?

Gingrich's statement is really puzzling coming from the "Obama is the food stamp president" guy.

Got it.
"Routinely". Give me a ****ing break. Nothing but right-wing talking point drivel. How many times did it happen? Once, twice? How many of the tens of thousands of people in BLM marches and gatherings participated in this, 50?

looool, totally common yet you're the third person to post the EXACT SAME YOUTUBE VIDEO in this forum in the last 24 hours. If this was actually common shouldn't you have a much wider selection to choose from?

(side note, mr. "I'm no Trump supporter" - I remember you were about Romney four years ago, you voting for Hillary this November?)

it's like nobody has even seen the purge.

go for it...go a day in this country without cops...i double dog dare you.

for every one "overreach, corruption, misuse of power etc" cop there are a hundred good cops.

I love how obvious Trump people always say this, embrace it bro.
07-08-2016 , 08:23 PM
Well, it is the first video that comes up on a search so that is no surprise that it has been posted multiple times.

And why can't someone not support Trump, yet still think there is massive hypocrisy on both sides?

On phone and too lazy to try to multi-quote.

for every one "overreach, corruption, misuse of power etc" cop there are a hundred good cops keeping their mouths shut, defending scumbags, falsifying reports and never ever ever stepping over that thin blue line.
.

A few minutes ago CNN showed BLM rally - chanting the "what do we want, dead cops, when do we want them, right now."

They can, I'm just curious if you're being genuine about it and planning to vote for Hillary in November.
