because there's clearly something wrong with her and she clearly isnt capable of taking care of her own life. punishment probably doesnt help anyone, though if she's dangerous she should be confined somehow, but psychiatric treatment more likely does.

Maybe send her to one of the dorm style prisons in Norway where she can eat bon bons?

Well, the serving 8-10 is reasonable would be under US law. Don't know if that is how it works in britain/england/dragons.
In the UK most serve about half of their determinate sentence. She'll be out in 7 most likely.

What specifically makes you think a psychiatric facility would better help her take care of herself than a prison?

You seem to have this weird view that prison is super punishing but being confined to a mental health facility is much easier and it is going to help integrate her more back into society but that just isn't reality.

It just isn't clear to me why a centre that should be dealing with the mentally ill is best suited to help an addict. It's not like they have more experience doing so than prison.

Mental health confinement is no better than prison and depending on her details could be considerably worse than prison.

a mental health institution doesnt have to mean 24 hours a day at a hospital. it could be some kind open institution or protected living facility.

i find it a little hard to believe prison is a better option for her, but if it is then it should be prison or freedom depending on what's better for everyone.

Phill-

One flew over the cuckoo's nest is not an accurate description of mental health confinement today.

How bout no.

Meh I've got no problem with that. Germany should have to pay for all of eternity for what it did.

I thought Italy invaded Greece first, then like a year later Germany invaded. Maybe they should go after Italy too!

As far as the paying for eternity goes, maybe it doesn't mean monetary debt but Germany should be reminded forever of what happened in WWII.

Are you disagreeing with me or what?

If they forcibly took a loan from Greece and never paid it back, they should give them the money, no?

Of course there's some legal path here, I'm sure.

Greece your drunk, go home. Though I'm suprised (with what little info provided) things like forced loans were not previously repaid.
