I voted for RP in the primary (I never voted in my life since I don't vote for evil) and will write his name in in November unless who goes to the dark side by then (hopefully not). Also I learned about more liberty candidates so I will write their names as well since they dont make it on the ballot (stupid rules the founders would be ashamed of)

Why does it matter what the founders would or would not be ashamed of?

Why do you ask stupid questions?

No cult of personality.

Ron Paul just dazzles you with his brilliant personality and thrills you with how he says what he says. Hell, I don't even know or care what the guy is saying, I just like how he's saying it! He's like the greatest speaker OAT. True cult of personality imo.

Because I want to know the answers.

Meh, most of what's wrong with this country comes from later amendments.

Plus, if he said something vague about how the founders are infallible or some **** then it is pretty obvious that his line of thinking is ****ed up. The founders made a good constitution all things considered, but their opinions are not sacrosanct.

He hates the trial by jury? Or the obvious mistake of pegging court issues to a salient monetary value.

Apparently RP is getting back into the main stream by opposing net-neutrality. Obviously taking the stance that the government should never get their hands on the internet.

I can never get Net Neutrality the right way round.

Paul is against it, which means he doesnt want the government telling ISPs they cant give preferential treatment to certain companies.

In other words he is in favour of ISPs being able, if they wish, to block websites of competitors or any other service they wish such as torrents.

I just wanted to state that I am basically a Ron Paul supporter. I think our govt. has overstepped and infringed on our lives way too much. I feel that gambling/prostitution and most drugs should be legalized and Ron Paul or someone like him would also try to promote these sort of things.

Redant!

This is great, this is great!

Hopefully there will be an impact made on those who support federal online poker regulation.

Is there some new net neutrality bill in the works? According to talk at the PL forum, Reid and Kyle have UIGEA II written and are looking for a bill to attach it to.

I think this is accurate. If the government stays out of this an allows companies to throttle connections how they please I am sure the internet will stop being the awesome place that is today.

I will love seeing LirvA rage when his ISP blocks access to information on drugs and online poker.
07-06-2012 , 04:45 PM
And given his postings on things like ACTA when his ISP blocks all torrent sites and any torrents he will rage hard on that too and it will be the first thing they block.

Freedom though.
