I feel I must mention this

to the ****ing people ITT who yap yap mother ****ing yap about all this ****ing bull****, completely ignoring the most important issues

I find that as you ****ing people grew more and more yappy and the supporters grew more and more tired of responding to your ****ing bull****, it correlated with Ron Paul getting less and less support IRL, and his momentum dropping.

I hope you're all ****ing happy. You deserve the next 4 years, you ****ing people.

More people asking questions about RP led to less support for him? Who could have thought!

don't worry, there's always agorism.

The yappers are tough to beat in elections, but they constantly lose in real-time.

I miss the days when this thread was endless entertainment.

I think it more has to do with you guys drawing a line in the sand
FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
It was more the fact that you guys weren't able to step back and defend pauls (apparently) super deep and correct politics without also going to bat for the stuff he likes that is obv terrible

There is also the insane fear mongering aspect of his campaign....You are living in the absolute peak of humanity....if his supporters were willing to say "things are the best they've ever been.....but we can do better"..... I'd be much more sympathetic but instead you get the "vote PAUL or civilization is OVER!!!!" crap which I am very certain is completely wrong.

it's just pointless arguing with you ****ing people

You don't give a **** about all the loss of civil liberties, you just care about racist newsletters and ****

Excellent post if it was a level....(but i know it isn't).

Civil liberties are going up not down....obvious if you enjpy history.

L. O. ****ing. L.

You know what the government just made illegal? Protesting near government buildings. How's that for civil liberties going up? And how about indefinite detention? Assassination?

JFC your post is completely ****ing ******ed

This is just too rich from a guy who says he'll vote Romney to oust Obama. Between that and veiwing Paul as the white knight of libertarianism, you have no credibility on the issue of civil liberties, so get the **** off your high horse.
03-22-2012 , 02:52 AM
I'll give you a hundred dollars if you can find a post where I say I'll vote for Romney.

Well you hope Romney wins, so the point remains the same.
03-22-2012 , 02:54 AM
Not at all the same. **** Romney, I hate the guy, but I hope he beats Obama cause he needs to be voted the **** out of office.

lolz...good point, indefinite detention has never existed in the US.!!!! (unless you want to call it slavery....or being Japanese during WWII)

I do see the advantage of having ultra radical uncompromisable "morally based" politics which let you look down on everybody who disagrees with you without ever having to think.....i just feel like it's it better to actually think

Does Ron Paul have a position on this whole protesting in front of government buildings thing?

Lol, please cite where this is said by the Paul Campaign or even any poster in this thread.

Also, things are the best they have ever been? That's wrong on about a thousand different metrics. Have you been to detroit lately? Any industrial town in the Northeast? What about Stockton Ca.? Birmingham Al.? What about all of California? What about the other states that are broke or on the verge? I guess all those people complaining in New York at those occupy protests were happy? What about record foreclosures? What about young people and employment oppurtunities? Please define best they have ever been.

It's def not the end of civilization but it is ******ED and totally uninformed to claim it's "the best it's ever been"

My guess is he thinks you should be able to protest and assemble anywhere you want.

When was it actually "the best it's ever been"? 1998? 2006?
03-22-2012 , 09:53 AM
Im pretty sure the law even if applied as widely as possible only stops protest in front of government building that have someone protected by secret service and only if the protesting can impede the activity of the officials - so not blocking streets for example.

And yeah, in general this is the most free time that has ever existed in America. Some things could be better of course but other things are getting better and progress is never a straight line. A couple of American terrorists got freedom droned in Yemen but millions of people can get married in New York when they couldnt a year ago.

I dunno bout anyone else but i kept out of this thread when it looked like Paul had a chance cos i didnt care to enter the echo chamber but once it was clear the pace of criticism picked up. The reality is all someone needs to do to find something offensive and anti freedom that Paul has said or done is go look him up on wikipedia.

I was simply stating that even if you look at the recent history it's not the best it's ever been. Burden of proof is on Max to explain why it's the best it's ever been.

I don't think it's a leap of faith to say the 90's were better than right now etc.

Please discuss.
IIRC the guy who created pay pal was a fairly bad ass libertarian type. Wanted to use pay pal to create nu-age currency type stuff. But he found out that the real world is a cruel bitch. Sold his company and they then sold out his dream to the nth degree.

Peter Thiel. Now he is funding research into living forever. Owns a good chunk of Facebook and is a confirmed nutjob.

Has also been known to donate large sums of money to the Seasteading institute and super PACs that support RP.

Also, apparently ZeeJustin has donated to the same long life prize?
