Even on a slow news day, the incidents still get no traction. Not that it would matter, with the power of the NRA. Hopefully they really are bankrupt.

Women and emails, am I right guys?
I'm starting to think the years long right-wing alarm over IT security in government culminating in a furious campaign to imprison Hillary Clinton for personal use of email in government service was not done in the good faith.

That Chapo ep on Meghan McCain legit made me feel like punching her in the face. Just a spoiled, vapid, spiteful piece of ****. Please stop offering your opinions on things, holy ****, surely literally nobody cares.
11-20-2018 , 08:54 AM
yea i just listened to that and wow. i hated the mccains already, but holy **** at some of those book excerpts. and they rightfully shred her- 100% must-listen

most infuriating part by far was the "so do you really just want anybody to expect to be able to walk into a hospital and get healthcare?" or whatever the exact quote was
11-20-2018 , 09:40 AM
Healthcare is such a solid good to make public because no one (except some freaks) really wants to have to make use of it.
11-20-2018 , 09:41 AM
but like apart from that, literally everyone NEEDS it and benefits from others having it

What episode # is that?
11-20-2018 , 10:01 AM
You mean right wing people were making political arguments in bad faith? WOW
11-20-2018 , 10:02 AM
What’s truly amazing is Megan McCain is somehow less reprehensible than most of her peers.
11-20-2018 , 10:07 AM
I think the main point of that Chapo episode was that no she is not less reprehensible. She stood up for same-sex marriage and that's about it.

Right before Election Day, while most Americans were distracted by whether a blue wave was going to engulf Congress, the Trump administration moved to place yet another obstacle between the needy and one of the programs that they rely on to get by. The policy change is supposedly about helping people become work ready, but in reality, it’s about stigmatizing the assistance they need.

If adopted, the Department of Labor’s proposed rule would let states impose a drug test on people who lose their jobs and need unemployment insurance to get through the dry spell.
