Was just about to ask this myself. I think the answer is yes.

I was vocal supporter of Avenatti, and nothing I've seen suggests to me that he is not a very good lawyer, one anyone would be lucky to have. I became a little muted when I learned about funds he owes related to his former law firm (that he ran) and the FL dude putting it into involuntary BK over $25k (in order to stay an unrelated arbitration vs the firm over $10m). He got his ass handed to him in that case, and he still owes that $, and his $100m award or whatever was cut way down on pretty standard law (punitives out of proportion to actual damages). He is also an attention whore and the run for Pres thing is vain and stupid.

That said, I'd take him on my side any day of the week. He doesn't lie and is 100x better than GOP operatives like Whalen, but he needs to realize that he's an operative.
