Cohen's lawyer said it's not coming from him and Rudy seemed prepared to talk about it on CNN. Sounds like the team Trump strategy is to get ahead of what they know is coming by leaking it themselves and discrediting Cohen as an unreliable witness to fight it.

Yeah that makes more sense and would also explain the waiving of privilege on the audio tape last week. Rudy had a quick response to that, too, iirc.

Man, they are setting a narrative that any testimony about what Trump said to ANYONE is worthless if it isn’t NOT on tape. By making a big deal about the tapes. Cohen isn’t taking any bullet, he will probably be pardoned but first they need to use him to distract and throw sand in the gears and get the propaganda out in the cycle and say witch hunt thirty times a day....

The tapes are probably nothing. This is just like when they leaked the limited tax return. It’s not 4d chess, it’s basic. Trump knows how to ****ing lie.
