After a good nap, I think we're well past worrying about whether Donald Trump is the worst president America has seen and should enter him into a new contest for worst PERSON America has seen.

I don't believe it falls under the VA Capital murder statute but in any event, the Murder 2 charge is a placeholder charge that keeps him locked up while the state and feds figure out who's going to take the lead on what charges.

Chiefsplanet is having a vigorous discussion right now about whether decent people could have shown up at the rally, seen the Nazi flags, and still decided to march alongside. http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showt...=309358&page=2

They were marching around saying "the Jews will not replace us". Even if you want to count them as peaceful they're not exactly the poster boys for the simple Southerner who simply wants to honor his ancestry.

FWIW, sitting the UK, I can't get my head around how any country can think it's OK for people to attend high sensitive protests/rallies carrying guns legally. Barking mad.
Open Carry is legal in some states which is fine. However a bunch of people gathering for a demonstration while openly carrying weapons can always be viewed as a threat to the public safety.

Even if open carry is legal it’s still possible to properly and legally stop it from happening if it’s going down a dangerous road.

I do think States where the police are afraid to engage with protestors because even if they are breaking the law they are open carrying should probably change their laws.

Jesus, it's really demoralizing to see how easily people are duped by false equivalency arguments.

To be quite honest, I think what we just saw was Trump lashing out at the institutional controls Kelly tried to put in place. There is nothing you can do about the boss though.

The people I've seen identified so far have been from California, Nevada, and (the killer) Ohio. You know, the American South.
