**** Comey. You don't get to whine about having a tough choice between conceal and speak when you decided to conceal Trump but speak Clinton.

Yea, this is what the lower and middle class don't get.

$400K is chump change for rich people. Chumlee on Pawn Stars makes $25K per episode for chrissakes. Dude probably couldn't make $25K a year if he didn't luckbox into that show.

It's just another example of the elite (both sides do this) having fake umbrage over something they embrace.

But good luck convincing someone that makes $35K a year working 60 hrs a week that a guy like Obama making $400K is pretty much the standard for someone in his position.

Gotta stay to the center and keep that status quo.

Nothing about that was accusing anybody of making 'an attack on all black people'.

You don't read well and are not very smart, despite these loltastic airs you put on. Furthermore, you don't seem to have a desire to learn anything. Despite all this and not knowing what I was talking about in that post, you want to talk back.

Anyhow, you typed this:

The dogmatic pro-business people on the right and dogmatic socialists on the left really have it all wrong.
You don't get to talk back.

Like what is the detailed narrative explaining how single payer somehow emerges from this?

If you think of US healthcare politics as a path from right to left, with the right extreme being a deregulated free market and the left extreme being something like the French system, then Obamacare was a step forward and this new bill is a step back. It will go toward renormalizing the idea that healthcare is a privilege, not a right. In this visual, the notion that AHCA somehow brings us closer to the left extreme requires a literal leap.
A significant % of the population getting sick, or dying needlessly leads to an outpouring of demand for uhc?

Our election system is quite unfavorable to third parties. It's why Bernie ran as a Democrat. Seems like treating the assumption of a two party system in the foreseeable future as some kind of major flaw is wishcasting.

only plus side I've got at this point is someday possibly even in trump's life mar a lago will be under water.

Not true even tho I agree with the point. We've had 3 or 4 at times in our history. Maybe not good enough to win pres, but good enough to have house/senate seats + gov's in areas of the country and influence things.

Biggest reason there's no third is that if one got off the ground the other two with the media would insta try to squash it.

Most are covered through employers, so the actual % number will be low. Even 24 million losing coverage is only about 7% of the country, and most will not get seriously sick immediately.

Note that this GOP healthcare bill is the stuff of nightmares and I loathe it and want these people to suffer for pushing it through the way that they are. But I'm just saying that while it will move the needle, I'm skeptical that it will become some galvanizer for profound social change, especially when somewhere between 30 and 45 percent of our citizens are all in for a party whose politicians don't want to see that change happen, and will do all in their power to stop it, not to mention the various moneyed interests.

ETA: Should add that a bunch of Dems don't want that change to happen either, although for political reasons, they can't be as aggressive in opposing it.

I didn't mean to say Carter was better just start with him. Id rank Obama first out of everyone since including Carter.

President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order Thursday that could allow churches and other religious organizations to become more active politically, according to officials.

Let me guess, the make discrimination against gays legal and churches be political and can donate all the $ EO.

You got it right. This is also why Trump is fine with only minor areas of getting what he wants in the continuing resolution. Incremental change over time is a win for him. Four or eight years is a long time. The first few months has been mostly a learning curve period, he will do better as we go on. I still think Trump may enjoy something of a honeymoon with moderate Americans over the summer as he gets better, people are getting used to his unusual style of governing and he's slowly getting things they want done.

It's too bad we can't start tying bodies to Trump. He's going to be responsible for lots of deaths during his reign.

Racist gonna racist. Bigots gonna bigot.

In before the trumpkins say a negative review of white and Christians is also racist. Can we change all these posts to "calling a racist racist is racist?"

How does someone vote for bill with no data on its effect? These people are the absolute worst of humanity. Avwal, shushy Dan and the other trumpkins are deplorable for thier support.
