The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

According to Al Jazeera there were almost certainly Russians working at this air base since all the planes and radar technology is Russian. So uh - one day none of the Russians show up to work - the Syrians go hmmmm...

So for Putin - oh darn he just got an order for a bunch more planes and radar equipment.

Ok now Al Jazeera is saying the US did not warn Russia - which strains credulity. But they did say we warned tons of allies. So it's a pretty good bet someone had marching orders to get the warning to Russia. But then again if they tell Assad, he probably scrambles all the planes. Hmmm

I have a friend who thinks this is all the beginning of the Putin/Trump plan to annex the Middle East and ALL THE OILS

Russia informed by US.

CNN

This **** is so complicated, I have mixed emotions on all options. Unfortunately, my confidence in Trump is so low, I'd rather have our actions chosen randomly than let him choose.

So presumably Russia told Syria, which means what - nothing that moves or could be unbolted was in the vicinity? $60M to take out some concrete.

Al Jazeera is also confirming the US warned Russia "just ahead" of the strike. I wonder how long that is.

Can this fat orange **** please die of a massive painful coronary already. I'm so done with this scumbag.

CNN military guy says this base was all their ****ty old planes, so likely no Russians there anyway. All their better technology at different bases.

Also seems confirmed now that US warned Russia.

Trip over a squirrel theory confirmed.

Just to be clear, Hillary would have done AT LEAST this, maybe more (and she even said so today).
04-06-2017 , 10:23 PM
CNN now says there were Russians at the base and the US had multiple convos with Russians throughout the day about what was going to happen.
04-06-2017 , 10:24 PM
No one gives a **** about what you think HRC would have done.
04-06-2017 , 10:25 PM
Odds the US and Russia are basically teaming up to fleece Assad and boost Trump's #s?

I give a ****. The fact that democrats support this **** is deeply concerning. This is like the Iraqi war all over again

This seems like a pointless action. I guess you can say 'it sends a message'. But militarily it doesn't sound like it accomplishes anything. It does however swallow up all the news coverage for Trump.

As we see with Trump - saying what you would do means nothing vs. what you actually when you're in the position to do it.

Damn.

Few disturbing things about his speech....quite a lot of mentions of god, just a bit religious for me and he called for everyone to work for peace after lobbing 60 missiles.

****ing loon.

A punative cruise missile strike is definitely part of the Clinton Doctrine.

That speech was the longest I've ever listened to Trump speak in one burst. I wanted to try to see what's in his mind. Looked like a deer in the headlights.

Jared's workload just got easier.

Seriously tho, this is ****ed.

Why is it a "neo-liberal" to support destroying a ****ing airfield when its being used as a launching pad for death squads to kill innocents on a daily basis and its done with such impunity that they are now using chemical weapons to up the cruelty level just for sport? What is the "liberal" moral argument that this is wrong?

Kushner Omitted Meeting With Russians on Security Clearance Forms
Quote:
When Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, sought the top-secret security clearance that would give him access to some of the nation’s most closely guarded secrets, he was required to disclose all of his encounters with foreign government officials over the last seven years.

But Mr. Kushner omitted any mention of dozens of contacts he has had with foreign leaders or officials in recent months. They include a December meeting with the Russian ambassador, Sergey I. Kislyak, and another with the head of a Russian state-owned bank, Vnesheconombank, which was arranged at the behest of Mr. Kislyak.
