As far as The Five goes, it's my favorite new show. Yesterday they talked fairly extensively on legalizing pot and poker and shed positive light on both of them IMO. It has a libertarian lean to it (mostly gutfield), which is pretty cool.

Beckel is amazing. I think he damn well knows libs don't make much sense. He struggles to make a good point, ever. That being said, I love the guy.

The two ladies are smoking. The bush aide (blonde) is kind of neoconnish but very reasonable and extremely sexy.

I've been watching Redeye for years and while Gutfeld might lean Libertarian at times, he mostly comes off as a tow the company line Fox conservative. Now Andy Levy, he's a Libertarian, and a lot more funny and well spoken.

Gutfeld not a smart nor funny guy. He makes Bill Schulz look smart and funny.

He filled in for that blowhard Schulz last week I think. Im boycotting MSNBC a week for every time I see Sharpton, and two weeks for every sighting with audio. I am stuck with CNN and PBS until Labor Day already.

The Turk comments on him leaving MSNBC:

He said he was offered more money for a smaller role because he was making waves. If true I respect his decision not to sell out.

I've been reading some comments on HuffPo and seemingly a lot of people thought he should move to FNC because he was criticizing Obama too much. Lol. Obamabots.

Cenk has a more appropriate venue on the net. His on air persona isn't polished enough to hold center stage, yet. Part of the game is playing nice with the suits, from time to time. But to replace him with Sharpton is a backwards move, if the need was for a black host then there are far more qualified/polished for the big tent.

The fact that MSNBC would give a talk show to the guy to staged the Tawana Brawley hoax just shows that MSNBC is a joke. (Yes, I know that was a long time ago, and no, I don't care.)

Steward with an entertaining comparison of British vs. American politics last night, in which David Cameron says "I'm gonna take on ALL you mother****ers"

Watching O'Reilly bitchslap Laura Ingraham on his show today was satisfying.

Have been watching Hannity when there's no decent movie bec I hate Piers Morgan worse than Larry King but I've finally had it w/ that imbecile bec, after all these years, he still says the same thing and I can't take it anymore.

So I figured that I'd try Rachel Maddow and I likey! Talked about Rick Perry's prayer thing and showed one loon (an understatement) reverend that was hilarious so now I'm going to watch her.

(what this place needs is some new smilies, like 'happy boots' that some other forums have, that's what this place needs)

Apparently this segment was censored in the UK because you're not allowed to use footage of parliament for a comedic or satirical purpose? lol.

Also, last night's Austan Goolsbee interview was pretty entertaining - the dude is completely glowing with excitement that he doesn't have to work in Washington anymore.

Lastly, they dug up a hilarious clip from December of a reporter predicting the entire debt ceiling cluster**** back in December in a WH press conference while Obama was like "nah, this will be no problem" (skip to 3:55), and Jon has a message for the ACists.

Nah, Fly would have followed up the failed "are you an economist" question with "then you must be racist so there".

I always just assumed FlyWF = "Fly White Female."

That's not correct?

Between this clip and the discussion about UK defamation law over in the subject:Poker thread in NVG, I have been pretty shocked recently about the lack of press freedom in the UK. I had no idea.

<--------ignorant american, apparently.

Defamation laws are awesome.

A lot of the rest, not so much.

I don't get why and how the UK is limiting expression here. Has a case about this ever reached the ECHR court? Seems a slam dunk case of limiting expression in a way that isn't covered by the ECHR exceptions.

Fly fetish among posters is disturbing.

Colbert's first SuperPAC ad is now running in Iowa apparently.
