right, this govt shutdown should be eye opening. these are people with really good jobs. most of the country would be legit envious to have these jobs. and they miss one paycheck and its all falling apart.

awval has a good job and doesnt live pay check to pay check and for some reason thinks that its due to a racist game show host that ran multiple casinos into the ground and started a fake university.

I don’t know what you mean by “you guys.” I didn’t vote for Trump. But it doesn’t follow from there that I think everyone who did is a despicable human being. I mean it’s not like the alternative was anything to get enthusiastic about, the economy was just beginning to crawl out its hole, people were tired of the same old Beltway politicians, etc.

My only legitimate complaint about the politics forum, and I’m being genuine here, is that I think people should be less mean to Sklansky. He doesn’t post in bad faith and I legitimately don’t think he’s a right winger (he’s not left wing either tbf). His posts can be nonsensical but they’re certainly no worse than some of the trolls who continue to be allowed to post here.

I agree that someone voting for Trump is not proof itself they are despicable, but I submit that ignoring the pain he is causing real people just because they are not people you know or respect is.
