I read that link. It made no connection between allen and petraeus

Couple thoughts: as noted by a couple liberal commentators, the real scandals here are 1) that the FBI chased down full email accounts of at least 5 people, and probably more, over some moderately harassing emails; and 2) that the heads of our security establishments have time to send thousands of sexy emails to their sanchas. While poor performance, I haven't seen any allegation of a crime and the FBI found none. If anyone committed a crime here, it's the FBI.

Isn't the FBI charged with monitoring the activities of those with security clearances like the General's?

As a lawyer (who doesn't know much family law), I'm never heard of a judge smacking someone down this hard in a custody case:

Well, yeah, i know that broadwell sent kelly a threatening email but i don't know why.

I doubt it. Maybe the NSA does that, but we'd never hear about it if that's the case.

The Petraeus family and the Kelley family are reported to be close friends. The theory is that Broadwell was jealous of that relationship and was marking her territory, and so she sent emails to Kelley telling her to back off from her man.

It seems to be confirmed that this whole situation was known about for months by people as high up the chain as Holder. It seems highly unlikely that Obama would be left in the dark about this as well, although it's being reported that Obama just found out about it last Wednesday.

It's fairly obvious given the timing of this that it was intentionally delayed until after the election.

How Benghazi plays into this (if at all) is unclear. It would be interesting if Petraeus is called to testify before congress and takes the fifth.

Naaw, FBI is in charge of all high level clearance background checks, and would be responsible for any investigation into whether those clearances should be revoked.

Some good stuff in here. The Kelly's were deep in debt (even though the husband was a pretty famous Dr.) and probably ran a scam charity. Bankrupt sister who stole kid from father was also 3.5 mil in debt. She also once dated Charlie Crist, former FL governor.
